In the case of the event being maxed out, any spots opened as a result of cancellations will be automatically filled with the next available player(s) on the waitlist (ordered by waitlist registration time). There will be no charge until players/teams are moved from the waitlist to the confirmed tournament roster in our system.

ELIGIBILITY
Open to any amateur female golfer with a GHIN Number from an authorized NOGA Member Club and be a resident of or attending college in Ohio. If your GHIN number is from outside Northern Ohio, please reach out to Sean Croell at 440-686-1070 ext. 215 or email scroell@noga.org

FORMAT
36 Holes of Stroke Play. An individual competition, in which each player competes against all other players within the respective division. Play is governed by the USGA Rules of Golf and its decisions, by the NOGA Hard Card and the terms of competition. Rule 1.3B states that players are responsible for applying the rules to themselves.
FIELD SIZE
24 Players. If the event is full, players can still register and be placed on the Waiting List. Players will NOT be charged until they have been moved from the Waiting List to the Tournament Roster.
TEES BY DIVISION
Championship Tee: Approx. 6,100 yards. Senior Tee: Approx. 5,500 yards

HISTORY OF THE NEOA
Originally known as the Plain Dealer Invitational, the Northeast Ohio Amateur Championship was rescued and rebranded by the Northern Ohio Golf Association in 1965. The NEO Am has had a history of illustrious champions, headed by the late Arnold Palmer, who got his exceptional career started in Northeast Ohio as a young Coast Guard member in 1953. Three-time NEO Am champ Bob Shave Jr. also played the pro tour, and Joe Ungvary Sr., a five-time NEO Am Champion who also won a U.S. Senior Amateur Open. Last year, the 2nd Northeast Ohio Women's Amateur Championship was played at Windmill Lakes Golf Club. Emily Holzopfel won the Championship Division while Shirley Vaughn took home the Senior title.
