The Nicoll Cup

The Nicoll Cup is Carnoustie Golf Links’ most prestigious tournament for junior golfers who are under 14 years of age. The tournament has a wonderful history dating back to 1924 and many of Carnoustie’s greatest golfers have their name on the trophy. Open to all junior golfers who are under 14 years old on 1st January 2024, the championship is a scratch Match Play knockout competition played over 14 holes on The Carnoustie Burnside Course. As it is a scratch event, no handicap is required to enter. All matches (except the final) will be arranged on a date and time suitable for both players and matches must be completed by the set date. The competition starts on 1st April 2024 and a list of ‘round completed by’ dates is shown below:

1st Round - Completed by 25th April
Quarter Finals - Completed by 16th May
Semi Finals - Completed by 7th June
Final - Saturday 8th June - 1.52pm
