Registration for the Junior Tour costs $52, as does each individual event except the Junior Championship which is $180 (includes two rounds, two meals, and a significant number of prizes).

The Goals of Zone 2 Junior Golf are to:
1. Promote the sport of golf with junior golfer in the Zone (Thompson - Okanagan Regions)
2. Provide an opportunity for our junior golfers to participate in a number of events that provide well organized friendly competition.
3. Provide an opportunity to improve their level of skill through competition
4. Promote golf etiquette on and off the course
5. Provide an opportunity to have fun, enjoy golfing different courses and form lasting friendships as a result
Zone 2 conducts its Junior Golf Tour from April through June at courses throughout the Thompson Okanagan Region. The 2024 Junior Tour starts at Osoyoos Desert Golf Club Saturday, April 13th. Juniors are defined as 18 and younger as of the date of the event they wish to participate in. Players are divided into three groups, Bantam: 14 and under; Juvenile: 15 & 16; and Junior: 17 & 18. Events are open to both boys and girls.
In addition to the Junior Tour, the Zone holds the Zone 2 Junior Championship, to be held June 1st and 2nd at Gallagher’s Canyon Golf & Country Club.
Many of our juniors who have participated in the tour have received scholarships to Canada and U.S. colleges. The Player Development Trust Fund awards bursaries to deserving players who are attending post secondary educational institutions.
Eligibility For Tour: Boys must have a Handicap factor of 30 or lower; Girls must have a factor of 36 or lower. Juniors must be 18 or younger (minimum age 10, unless special dispensation is provided after assessment of skill level) as of the date of the event they wish to participate in, The player must reside within the zone and be a member of a club in good standing with the British Columbia Golf or a member of British Columbia Golf or Golf Canada Players Club.
Registration for the Junior Tour will commence in early January. The cost to participate is an initial cost of $52 to join the Junior Tour and each event also costs $52 with the exception of the 2 day Junior Championship which costs $180 and includes 2 meals plus a significant number of prizes.
