Member’s Charter
Our constitution obliges members to conduct themselves in an appropriate and respectful manner. Failure to do so may result in disciplinary action and sanction, including warning, suspension and expulsion. This charter outlines a code of conduct to set clear expectations. Allegations of misconduct are investigated following the disciplinary process detailed in the constitution. All members are deemed to accept and required to abide by this charter.
Members must:
- Behave responsibly
- Treat others fairly, equally and respectfully
- Abide by the spirit, etiquette and rules of golf
- Not discriminate against any person
- Not physically or verbally harass others
- Not use offensive language or suggestions
- Not damage, steal or misuse club property
- Follow all club safety practices and requirements
- Maintain the harmony and good name of the club
- Respect the rights of staff and other players
- Follow any reasonable direction by committee members
Allegations shall be handled in a fair and equitable manner. Where they relate to gross misconduct, members may be suspended pending investigation. Gross misconduct includes: physical assault; directly reprimanding staff; behaviour that is abusive, insulting, demeaning, intimidating or intemperate; behaviour that brings the Club or resort into disrepute; cheating in any form; making false or malicious statements; or refusing or failing to cooperate with the disciplinary process.
