PRACTICE ROUND: Please contact the golf shop for rates and availability at (616) 949-0740. Contestants must call in advance to reserve a tee time and identify themselves as US Women’s Mid-Amateur Qualifying contestants. Rates and availability are at the discretion of the host facility.
GPS AND RANGE FINDERS: The following Rule applies to players. In this competition, if a player uses a distance-measuring device that is designed to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect his/her play, AND USES IT FOR THOSE OTHER CONDITIONS the player is in breach of Rule 4.3, for which the penalty is TWO STROKES for the first breach of this rule and DISQUALIFICATION for a subsequent breach during the stipulated round.
GAM DRESS CODE: Shirts with collars and sleeves are required; however women may wear collarless shirts with sleeves or sleeveless shirts with collars. Neither tank tops, tee shirts, short shorts, gym shorts, cut-offs, bathing suits nor denim pants/shorts are permitted. Players and caddies are expected to adhere to the dress code.
FOOD: The halfway house will have food available for purchase.
CADDIES/CARTS: All players are required to walk. Contestants may carry their bag or bring a caddie. Caddies must also walk. Carts are not permitted for caddies. Pull carts may be used if the host club allows them. Spectator carts are not permitted in USGA Qualifiers.
PRACTICE RANGE: Complimentary for players on the day of the competition, prior to play only. The practice range will open one hour before the first tee time.
WITHDRAWAL: If you must withdraw, please contact the USGA at (908) 234-2300 leading up to the tournament. If you must withdraw the night or weekend before then please contact the GAM office at tournaments@gam.org or (248) 478-9242. If you call after business hours, please leave a message on voice mail #124. Failure to notify may result in suspension from future USGA and GAM competitions.
