CONNACHT BOYS’ AMATEUR OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP

 

a) Age Group: Boys (Under-18) as set out in Section A of the General Regulations

b) Gender: Male

c) Handicap Eligibility: Competitors must hold a Handicap Index of 7.0 or less on the closing date.

d) Eligibility: See Section A of the General Regulations

e) Size of Field: 90

f) Ballot: Lowest Handicap Index at the close of entries.

In addition, the Top 6 Boys from the Connacht Boys U18 CLOSE Qualifier played in the weeks preceding the event, so long as they have entered the Connacht Boys U18 Open.

g) Form of Play: Stroke Play

h) No. of Rounds: Three- one on each day of the championship

i) Cut: Top 30 plus ties after two rounds

j) Ties: Ties for the Championship will be resolved by a sudden death playoff immediately after the final card is returned.
