Welcome to the Seniors Matchplay 2024 .

This year we have migrated to Golf Genius for tournament management. This will allow you to register and pay for entry into this year's County Championships. It will also be used on the day to manage the scoring and publication of results. 

Entry fees for 2024 are £40. Entry fees will be collected via Stripe, a card payment system integrated within Golf Genius. 

This year the competition will be a matchplay event from the outset with a random draw and a maximum of 64 players. Should there be more than 64 entrants a ballot will be made based on lowest handicaps at the date registration closes. If there are less than 64 entrants, the first round will incorporate byes as required to produce 32 players in Round 2.

The registration form will require a Membership Number (CDH) plus an email address, Date of Birth and Affiliation (Home Club). In addition, optional information includes Mobile Phone Number and handicap index. Having an email address and mobile number will allow for communication with you, particularly useful if there are any late changes to the event. Last year there was a situation when a major accident had occurred near the club and another when an event was cancelled due to the heat. Having a Date of Birth will allow for the set up of ‘age’ categories in advance in the appropriate competitions rather than on the day. You can also log in at any time to edit your entry - for example, if you need to withdraw for any reason before entries close and update your entry accordingly, a refund will be processed automatically to you by the system.  This also means that we do not need to check that everybody is fit and able to play before we make the draw, because any withdrawals will have been processed by the players themselves.

You may also like to consider downloading the Golf Genius App to your phone which will get you closer to the information relating to each competition - you log in with your email address and set your own password.  The "GGID" that you may see mentioned is a Golf Genius ID code which can refer to individual competitions (or to even more specific information within a competition).
