Hello Players:
Thanks for registering for the San Diego Amateur (North) presented by Callaway Golf, being played Monday and Tuesday, December 18-19 at Aviara Golf Club in Carlsbad. We will have pairings for you no later than this Monday 12/11, So you can plan your schedule, we are going off between 7:00 am and 9:00 am in threesomes off the first and tenth tees. Here is some additional information about the tournament:

PRACTICE ROUNDS
Aviara will provide tournament players only their "A Club" rate after 10:00 am any day from now until the tournament:
$145 M-Thurs
$165 Fri-Sun
The golf shop can be reached at 760-603-6900 if you want to reserve a tee time. Please identify yourself as a San Diego Amateur tournament player.
TEES
Championship Division (Men) plays Palmer/Blue Combo Tees at approx 6800 yards
Championship Division (Women) plays White at approx 6050 yards
Senior Division plays White at approx 6050 yards
SCORING
All scoring will be electronic using Golf Genius. I encourage you to download the app if you don't have it already. Each group will be given a unique GGID to use when entering scores and we will verify at the scoring table after the round.
SCORE POSTING
We will post scores to GHIN after each round.
CADDIES/CARTS
Carts are required for tournament players - since we are playing threesomes there will be one spot per group that a caddie could ride in but beyond that, we do not allow spectator carts. If there is more than one caddie in any group we will leave it to the discretion of the players to share walking but in no case do we allow riding off the back of a cart. The only exception to the spectator cart rule will be for a person that has a handicap placard and can provide documentation to the golf shop. Players - please share this with friends/family as appropriate.
PAYOUT
Callaway gift cards will be awarded to top finishers in each division (12 championship, 7 senior; ties broken by the USGA method of final 18, final 9, 6, 3, and 1 hole). In addition, there will be a prize for the low mid-amateur score, the low super senior score, and the low woman score.
LODGING
We have partnered with HotelPlanner.com to provide you with excellent rates; a search of hotels near the golf course provides you with plenty of options. The host course is part of the Park Hyatt luxury resort. If enough people are interested in staying there we may be able to get a better rate -- please contact us if interested. WITHDRAWALS
Per the refund policy agreed to during registration, the last day to receive a 50% refund is Sunday, December 10th. So if you need to withdraw we suggest that you do so by then. Tournament policies can be seen on the Info tab HERE.
We'll use email to communicate any weather issues or other last-minute changes.
