Tournament Information - Saturday 8/3 & Sunday 8/4

• The Tournament is a 36 hole 2-man best ball stroke play held over two days.  
• This tournament awards GOTY (Golfer of the Year) points to the winners in each flight.
• Eligibility requirement for all TMC members is seven (7) current year tournaments prior to the first round of this event.  
• This is a Gross and Net tournament played from the White tees.  (Gold tees are available which are eligible for net only.  
• Depending on play, we are anticipating dividing the field into three or four flights.
• Entry Fee for the Team is $40 total for both days.

Calcutta Information - Friday 8/2 @ 6pm - (Optional)
On Friday 8/2, we will be holding our annual Calcutta where teams are auctioned off to the highest bidder.   This voluntary and popular aspect of the Member-Member tournament has been a Tallwood tradition for more years that we can remember.

 
We also have a cookout, keg beer, water, soda available to all that stop by – at no additional fee!

What is a Calcutta – All the teams that are participating in the Tournament are flighted based on combined handicap into flights, with approx. 6-8 teams in each flight. We then auction each team to the highest bidder.  The total cash collected for each Flight is then the “pot” that will be paid in cash (60% - 1st place / 40% - 2nd place) at the end of the tournament for each individual flight. 
 

Important notes:

• The Tournament for Calcutta is NET ONLY for all Flights.  
• If you bid and wish to own a team – payment must be made immediately in Cash that evening – so make a stop at the ATM before coming to the cookout.
• For those teams that either weren’t present or chose not to buy their own team that evening – will have the option to buy ½ their team before start of play on Saturday in the Pro Shop – Cash Only (from the highest bidder / owner) for ½ the amount that was paid. Should that team place 1st or 2nd then the winnings will be shared with the original owner 50/50.

Example:

Flight 1 - Team 1 – Team 6 are sold for an average of $150 per team – therefore the Pot in that flight is $900.  1st place wins $540, 2nd wins $360.  Teams 3-6….Nada.

This event is a great way to come out to your club to eat and have a beverage with fellow members.  Additional details or clarification will also be provided at the beginning of the auction.
