ENTRY DEADLINES

  • Registration Opens: Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at 12:00pm EST
  • Early Entry Deadline: Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at 5:00pm EDT
  • Final Registration Deadline: Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at 5:00pm EDT

 

Two entry deadlines have been established.  The “Early Entry Deadline” will permit Golf Canada to accept players prior to the “Final Registration Deadline” and allow more time to plan travel.  Early entry into the championship is at the discretion of the Golf Canada Selection Committee.  At least 25 of the players registered prior to the Early Entry Deadline for each championship will be accepted into the championship.

 

Note: If the field is under-subscribed after the entry deadline, Golf Canada reserves the right to accept all eligible applications and extend the entry deadline by up to two weeks

 


ELIGIBILITY

  1. All players must have an EDGA Player Pass or EDGA Access Pass/WR4GD Player Pass to compete in the championship.  To create a profile and apply for an EDGA Pass, please visit www.edgagolf.com/online/pass/pass_info.php
  2. There is no handicap index requirement for the championship.
  3. This competition is open to male and female amateur and professional golfers who are members of a golf club belonging to Golf Canada or holds a Public Player membership with Golf Canada.  International players must be members in good standing with their respective association.
  4. All applications are subject to approval or rejection by Golf Canada at any time before or after the start of play.

 


ENTRY FEE & APPLICATION PROCEDURE

  1. The entry fee for the Canadian All Abilities Championship is $300 CAD (tax included).  Please note that Golf Canada only accepts credit cards (Visa, MasterCard and American Express) as a method of payment.
  2. To apply, visit www.golfcanada.ca/competitions-calendar and click on the register link by the event you would like to participate in.  Remember to submit the application well in advance of the registration deadline.  Late, incomplete, or inaccurate applications will not be accepted and are not the responsibility of Golf Canada. 
  3. Canadian players must register as a “Golf Canada member.”  You will then be instructed to log-in to Golf Genius, using their Golf Canada membership credentials. If you need assistance accessing your Golf Canada membership, please call 1-800-263-0009 x399 or email members@golfcanada.ca. 
  4. International players must register as a "non-member.”
  5. After registering, players will receive an email noting their application is PENDING.  Payment will not be processed until a player is ACCEPTED.  Once a player is accepted into a championship and payment has been processed, entry fees are non-refundable.

 


CHAMPIONSHIP FIELD

The Canadian All Abilities Championship will feature a maximum of 84 players.  If the field is under-subscribed at the closing deadline, all eligible players will be accepted.  If the field is over-subscribed at the closing deadline, the Golf Canada Selection Committee will select the field’s non-exempt players.  Golf Canada reserves the right to revise the championship field based upon the entries received before the registration deadline of each event.

CHAMPIONSHIP EXEMPTIONS

The champion of the Canadian All Abilities Championship earns an exemption into the following events:

  • 2025 U.S. Adaptive Open

 

 

CHAMPIONSHIP FORMAT

The Canadian All Abilities Championship is a 54-hole championship, with both Gross Stroke Play and Net Stableford divisions for both Men and Women.  Players are automatically entered into both competitions. 

 

  • Gross Stroke Play Division: This competition will run through completion of 54 holes.  Players must hole out and enter a score on each hole.
  • Net Stableford Division: This competition will run concurrently through completion of 54 holes.  If a player decides to not complete play of one hole and pick up their ball, they will be removed from the Gross Stroke Play division and remain eligible for the Net Stableford division.  Below are the Stableford points breakdown:
    • 0 points: Net Double Bogey (or higher)
    • 1 point: Net Bogey
    • 2 points: Net Par
    • 3 points: Net Birdie
    • 4 points: Net Eagle
    • 5 points: Net 3-under-par
    • 6 points: Net 4-under-par


Day 1: Registration, Official Practice Round, and Player Reception

Day 2 and 3: Rounds 1 & 2 – 18 Holes of Stroke Play and Stableford

Day 4: Round 3 – 18 Holes of Stroke Play and Stableford (followed promptly by Awards Ceremony)

 


PLAY-OFFS AND PRIZES

In the event of a tie for 1st place in the Gross Stroke Play or Net Stableford divisions, it will be decided by a hole-by-hole playoff immediately following the conclusion of play.  In the event of a play-off for both the Gross Stroke Play and Net Stableford division being required, the Committee will determine which play-off takes place first.  If a player is involved in both play-offs, separate play-offs will take place to determine the winners.  Any players tied for other positions will remain tied.

 

1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each division will receive a championship medal.

 

 

REFUND POLICY AND NOTICE OF WITHDRAWAL

Entry fees will be fully refunded if the Golf Canada Tournament Director is notified of the player’s intention to withdraw before the early entry deadline (Sam Meek; smeek@golfcanada.ca; 705-750-8211). 

 

Once a player is accepted into the championship, the entry fee will be processed and they are expected to participate.  If a player wishes to withdraw prior to the start of the championship, please notify Golf Canada well in advance to ensure an alternate has a fair opportunity to participate.  Failure to comply may result in DISQUALIFICATION from future Golf Canada competitions.

*Once a player is accepted into a championship, they will receive an acceptance email. If a player wishes to withdraw, they must do so within 72 hours of acceptance, otherwise they are subject to incur a $25 admin fee.
**Entry fees are non-refundable after the final registration deadline without a doctor’s note or medical certificate.  All refunds are subject to a $50 administrative fee after the early entry deadline.

DATES LIMITES D’INSCRIPTION

  • Ouverture des inscriptions : Mercredi 6 mars 2024 à 12 h HAE
  • Échéance des préinscriptions : Mercredi 26 juin 2024 à 17 h HAE
  • Échéance des inscriptions : Mercredi 14 août 2024 à 17 h HAE

 

Deux dates limites d’inscription ont été établies. L’échéance des préinscriptions permet à Golf Canada d’accepter des joueurs avant l’échéance des inscriptions finales et laisse à ceux-ci plus de temps pour préparer leur voyage. La préinscription aux championnats est acceptée à la discrétion du Comité de sélection de Golf Canada. Au moins 25 joueurs parmi ceux préinscrits pour un championnat seront acceptés à ce championnat.

 

Remarque : Si le tableau de compétition n’est pas complet après la date limite d’inscription, Golf Canada se réserve le droit d’accepter toutes les demandes admissibles et de prolonger la date limite d’inscription jusqu’à deux semaines.

 

 

ADMISSIBILITÉ

    1. Tous les joueurs doivent détenir un « EDGA Player Pass » ou un « Access Pass / WR4GD Pass » pour pouvoir participer au championnat. Pour créer votre profil et demander un « EDGA Player Pass », veuillez visiter le site www.edgagolf.com/online/pass/index.php#.
    2. Il n’y a aucune exigence en matière d’index de handicap pour participer à ce championnat.
    3. Cette compétition est ouverte aux golfeurs et golfeuses amateurs ou professionals qui sont membres d’un club de golf affilié à Golf Canada ou qui détiennent une adhésion de golfeur public à Golf Canada. Les joueurs étrangers doivent être membres en règle de leur association respective.
    4. Toutes les demandes d’inscription seront soumises à l’approbation de Golf Canada qui se réserve le droit d’accepter ou de refuser toute inscription en tout temps, avant ou durant le tournoi.

 

 

PROCÉDURE ET FRAIS D’INSCRIPTION

1. Les frais d’inscription pour le Championnat canadien sénior masculin sont de 300 $CAN (taxes comprises) par joueur. Veuillez noter que Golf Canada n’accepte que les cartes de crédit (Visa, MasterCard et American Express) comme mode de paiement.

2. Pour faire une demande d’inscription, visitez le site www.golfcanada.ca/fr/calendrier-de-competitions et cliquez sur « Inscription » à l’extrême droite de la ligne correspondant au championnat qui vous intéresse dans le calendrier des compétitions. N’oubliez pas de soumettre votre formulaire d’inscription bien avant l’échéance des inscriptions. Les inscriptions en retard, incomplètes ou inexactes ne seront pas acceptées et ne relèvent pas de la responsabilité de Golf Canada.

3. Les athlètes canadiens doivent s’inscrire comme « membre de Golf Canada ». Vous serez alors invité à vous connecter à Golf Genius, en utilisant votre identifiant de membre de Golf Canada. Si vous avez besoin d’aide pour accéder à votre adhésion à Golf Canada, veuillez composer le 1-800-263-0009, poste 399, ou envoyer un courriel à membres@golfcanada.ca.

4. Les joueurs étrangers doivent s’inscrire en tant que « non-membre ».

5. Après s’être inscrits, les joueurs recevront un courriel les informant que leur inscription est EN ATTENTE. Le paiement ne sera pas traité tant que le golfeur ne sera pas ACCEPTÉ. Une fois qu’un joueur est accepté dans un championnat et que son paiement a été traité, les frais d’inscription ne sont pas remboursables.

 

 

TABLEAU DE COMPÉTITION

Le Championnat canadien toutes capacités comptera un maximum de 84 golfeurs et golfeuses. Si le nombre de participants inscrits est insuffisant à la date limite, tous les joueurs admissibles seront acceptés. Si le tableau de compétition compte trop de joueurs inscrits à la date limite, le Comité de sélection de Golf Canada choisira les joueurs non exemptés au tableau. Golf Canada se réserve le droit de réviser le tableau de compétition des championnats en fonction des inscriptions reçues avant la date limite d’inscription de chaque tournoi.

FORMULE DU CHAMPIONNAT

Le Championnat canadien toutes capacités est un tournoi sur 54 trous avec des divisions au score brut en parties par coups et au score Stableford net pour les golfeurs et les golfeuses. Les joueurs sont automatiquement inscrits dans les deux divisions.

  • Division au score brut en parties par coups : Cette compétition se disputera jusqu’à la conclusion du jeu sur 54 trous. Les joueurs doivent envoyer leur balle dans la coupe et inscrire un score sur chaque trou.
  • Division au score Stableford net : Ces compétitions se déroulement simultanément jusqu’à la conclusion du jeu sur 54 trous. Si un(e) participant(e) choisit de ne pas terminer le jeu d’un trou et ramasse sa balle, il ou elle sera retiré(e) de la division au score brut en parties par coups. Le décompte des points Stableford est indiqué ci-dessous :
    • 0 points : Score net de double bogey (ou davantage de coups)
    • 1 point : Score net de bogey
    • 2 points : Score net de normale
    • 3 points : Score net d’oiselet
    • 4 points : Score net d’aigle
    • 5 points : Score net de 3 sous la normale
    • 6 points : Score net de 4 sous la normale

 

Jour 1 : Enregistrement, ronde officielle d’entraînement et réception des joueurs et joueuses

Jours 2 et 3 : Ronde 1 – 18 trous en partie par coups et Stableford

Jour 4 : Ronde 2 – 18 trous en partie par coups et Stableford (cérémonie de remise des prix immédiatement après le jeu)

 

 

PROLONGATIONS ET PRIX

En cas d’égalité pour la victoire de la compétition au score brut en parties par coups et au score Stableford net, le départage se fera par prolongation trou-par-trou immédiatement après la fin du jeu réglementaire. Si une prolongation s’impose dans les deux divisions, au score brut en parties par coups et au score Stableford net, le Comité de tournoi déterminera quelle prolongation disputer en premier. Si un joueur ou une joueuse doit participer aux deux prolongations, des épreuves séparées auront lieu pour déterminer les gagnants. Les joueurs et joueuses à égalité pour d’autres positions resteront à égalité.

 

Les 1ère, 2e et 3e  places de chaque division recevront une médaille du championnat.

 

 

POLITIQUE DE REMBOURSEMENT ET AVIS DE RETRAIT

Les frais d’inscription seront entièrement remboursés si le directeur de tournoi de Golf Canada (Sam Meek : smeek@golfcanada.ca; 705-750-8211) est avisé de l’intention du joueur ou de la joueuse de se retirer avant la date limite des préinscriptions.

 

Une fois que les joueurs et joueuses sont acceptés pour un championnat, leurs frais d’inscription sont encaissés et l’on s’attend à ce qu’ils et elles participent au tournoi. Si un joueur ou une joueuse souhaite se retirer avant le début d’un championnat, il ou elle doit en aviser Golf Canada bien à l’avance afin de donner une chance équitable à un remplaçant de jouer. À défaut de respecter cette obligation, le joueur ou la joueuse s’expose à une DISQUALIFICATION des futures compétitions de Golf Canada.

*Lorsqu’un joueur ou une joueuse est accepté(e) à un championnat, il ou elle reçoit un courriel d’acceptation. Si un joueur ou une joueuse souhaite se retirer, il ou elle doit le faire dans les 72 heures suivant son acceptation, à défaut de quoi il ou elle s’expose à des frais d’administration de 25 $.
