2024 Local Rules

 

 

Play is governed by the Rules of Golf effective January 2019, and where applicable, by the following Local Rules and Terms of the Competition.  Committee Procedures refers to the Committee Procedures section in the current Official Guide to the Rules of Golf

 

PLAY THE BALL LiFT, CLEAN AND PLACE, WITHIN 12" OF ORIGINAL POSTION, NO NEARER THE HOLE AND ONLY WITHIN YOUR OWN FAIRWAY.

 

Championship BlackTees  - Senior Champiohship (50+) and all Flights Blue Tees 

 

  1.   Out of Bounds and Lost Balls: 

    Out of Bounds is defined by the line between the course-side points at ground level of white stakes and fence posts. A Ball is lost if the ball is not found in 3 minutes after begins to search for it.

  1.   Penalty Areas: #1,3,4,5,6,7,14,15,16,17,18
    1. Penalty areas are defined with red paint. 
    2. A ball is in the penalty area when any part of the ball lies on or touches the ground inside the edge of the penalty area.
    3. Players MAY play the ball as it Lies in Penalty Area or Take Penalty Relief. See Rule 17.1

3.         Abnormal Course Conditions and Integral Objects: Free Relief

       a.  Ground Under Repair:

           i)   Any area encircled by a white line (dash lines).

           ii)  All irrigation trench earthwork, seams of cut turf or seeded areas. – Model Local Rule F-7 is in effect.

           iii) Any damage from burrowing animals. 

      b.  Immovable Obstructions:

           i)   Asphalt, Rock and artificially surfaced roads and paths.

           ii)  Any fixed object on the property.

       c. Temporary water:

            i) General Area: Free Relief

            ii) Bunkers: Nearest point of complete relief and must be within the bunker. If complete relief is not available then take maximum available relief within the bunker. Penalty relief is back on the line outside the bunker with 1 penalty stroke.

  1. Starting the Round: Rule 5.3 Your starting time is an exact time, penalties for breach apply.

5  Pace of Play:

  1. You should play at a prompt pace throughout the round, pace is 2 hrs / nine and shots should be played within 40 seconds of it being your turn.
  2.  Unreasonably delayed play penalty: 1 stroke 1st breach, 2nd General penalty, 3rd Penalty DQ.

     6.   Procedures for Bad Weather and Suspensions of Play:

           a.   Methods for Stopping and Resuming Play:

                 A suspension of play for a dangerous situation will be signaled by one prolonged note of a siren or horn.        

7.     Returning Scorecard:

           For the purpose of applying Rule 3.3b(2), a player’s scorecard is treated as returned when the player has first left the scoring area with both feet. When all scores have been posted on the official scoreboard and approved the Committee, the competition is closed. Scores on the Scorecard and attested will be the official score for the tournament. (Live Scoring is not official scoring).

8. Ties: A tie for either Championship will be settled by Sudden Death Playoff on hole #1, 2, 8, 9 etc…Ties for all flights will be settled by card. Final 18 total, final 9 total, last 6 total, last 3 total then 18, 17, 16 etc…(USGA tiebreaker)

9. Tournament Purse: The purse and places tbd based on participation paid in Two Rivers Gift Cards.
