Entries/Sign Up: 

• An MGA member may sign up for this tournament as a single player, as customary for our MGA tournaments, or
• An MGA member may also sign up for themselves and one eligible family member. Eligible family members would include the member’s son, grandson, stepson, or son-in-law. They must be at least 16, have a valid GHIN number, and have established a handicap.  
• This will also be a “pick your pairings” event.  If you want to pick your pairings, one member must sign up all players as a single registration.  Be prepared with their GHIN numbers (if they are non-members) and tee selection.   You may sign up for one, two, three, or four players.   
• As described in the “Format” section, all players, whether members or “sons,” will be flighted by handicap and play their own ball, even if paired in the same foursome.  This is not a team event. 
• The max score on a hole (other than your three pigs, which will be recorded as 12) will be a net triple bogey.   If you intend to count a hole as one of your "pigs", you may pick up at any time.
• The tournament limit will be 100. 

Format:

• The format is known as the Three Little Pigs.   
• This is an individual net score event.  100% of individual handicaps will be used.   
• Each player will only count their net score on 15 holes.  Immediately after playing a hole, the player must decide if he wants to count THAT hole as one of his three ‘pigs’ and not count it in his score.   If he decides the hole will NOT count, a score of 12 will be entered for that hole.  Golf Genius will recognize a 12 as one of the 3 Little Pigs and not count it toward the player’s score. 
• Any dots that apply to a discarded hole will not count toward the net handicap.   
• Courses are Cherokee/Creek.     
• Play will be from any tee chosen by the player at signup.   Tee selections will be Black, Blue, Blue/White, White, White/Gold, and Gold.  Consider your choice carefully, as there will be NO tee changes once signup closes.  

Ties:

• Flights and Divisions: all ties will be resolved using the USGA 9/6/3/1 methodology.  The winner of a tie (or ties) will be the player or team with the best score for the back nine holes (irrespective of starting hole), and if not resolved, the last 6, last 3, and last hole in that order.  If a tie is not resolved on the back 9, the same process will be used for the front nine.  If there is no winner at this point, the tie will be resolved by coin flip.   

Prizes/Payouts: 

• The event will be flighted.   The number of players will determine the number of flights and places paid.   Payouts for all players will be in Big Canoe Bucks.   

Proximity:

• Closest to the pin awards on all par three holes.
• Each winner receives $50 per CTP, payable in Big Canoe Bucks.   

Food & Beverage: 

• Shrimp Boil courtesy of Tom Craton after the round at the WILDCAT POOL PAVILLION.  

Entry Fee:  $50 PER PLAYER

• The Entry Fee includes all tournament and F&B functions but does not include golf and cart fees. The pro shop will calculate and bill those based on your individual status as an amenity member.   Family entry fees will be charged to the member’s lot.     

Big Canoe Cup Points:

• 20 points for all MGA Member participants plus performance points equal to one point per Big Canoe Buck won, not including CTP awards.   Family members are not eligible for Big Canoe Cup points.

Local Rules:

• The professional staff will cover the Local Rules in effect on the day of the tournament at teeoff. 

Score Posting:

• This is a non-postable tournament.

Late Withdrawals: 

• Cancellations must be made by the close of signups.   You may cancel your registration by editing it and clicking the cancel registration button.  Players who cancel after signups close will still be charged the tournament fee.   Tournament details listed above are subject to change until the official signup opens.
