2024 State Open of VA Open Qualifier  

Date: July 8th, 2024

Location: Spring Creek Golf Club - Zion Crossroads, VA 

Eligibility: Anyone who is an amateur member of a VSGA club ($175) or anyone who lives in Virginia ($340).

Practice Rounds - $50 - Mon-Thurs and $75 Fri-Sun.  You can play your practice round Tues-Thurs the week of the event and Fri-Sun after 3pm.  Please call the proshop 540-832-0744 ext.3

Driving Range: Unfortunately, Spring Creek's range will not be open due to construction in time for the event.  We were hoping it would be open, but it will not.  Birdwood Golf Club (approx. 25 minutes away) has graciously offered to allow players to warm up at their range the morning of the event.  If you plan to use Birdwood, please go into the pro shop and let them know you are playing in the event.  

*Virginia Residence – must be current residents of the Commonwealth of Virginia, and have lived in Virginia for 183 of the last 365 days.  This is subject to certification by the committee and/or staff.  Documentation of evidence may be required.

Format: Eighteen holes at stroke play. 

Tee Times:  Starting at 8:30 AM. Split Tee Start

Qualifying Spots for the State Open of Virginia:  50 % of the field will qualify for the State Open up to 13 spots. If there is a tie for the final qualifying position or any of the alternate positions at the end of regulation play, a sudden death playoff will determine the order of positions.   All successful qualifiers must submit the entry balance (VSGA Amateurs pay $75; all others pay $450) at the conclusion of the event.
