REGISTRATION: 

9:00AM on January 5th, 2024 thru 5:00PM on March 11th, 2024 (or until the event is sold out).


 

ENTRY FEE INCLUDES:

Green Fees, Cart Fees, Range Balls, On-Course Snacks/Beverages, BBQ Lunch (Sunday only), Tee Prizes, Prize Fund, Trophies for Flight Champions and Runners-Up.


 

TRANSPORTATION & CADDIES:

Players may walk or ride at their own discretion, as cart fees for the tournament are included in the entry fee. Caddies are encouraged, but may only ride in a cart if one or more players within the group choose to walk.


 

SPECTATORS:

Spectators are welcome. Prior to entering the golf course, all spectators must register in the golf shop and sign a liability release. Carts are not available for spectators.


 

PRACTICE FACILITY:

The driving range and practice greens are available to all competitors for the duration of the Championship and will open at 5:30am on both Saturday and Sunday. Range balls are included in the entry fee and will be distributed on the range tee prior to each round.

 

 

PRACTICE ROUNDS:

Competitors are eligible to receive a discounted rate for practice rounds (applicable Loyalty Rate), but only during the week leading up to the event (March 11-15). To make a reservation, please contact the golf shop at (657) 242-4581 and reference your City Championship registration.


 

DRESS CODE:

All competitors are required to comply with the dress code set forth by Black Gold Golf Club. Men may wear golf pants/slacks or Bermuda length shorts. Women may wear slacks, culottes, walking shorts, or golf skirts. Metal spikes are not permitted.


 

CONDITIONS OF PLAY:

COURSE HANDICAP (Net Flights Only):

For participants competing within a Net Flight, course handicaps will be determined using each applicable participant's official USGA Handicap Index as of March 1, 2024. The course handicap determined on March 1 will be utilized for all rounds throughout the event.
 


HAZARD DEFINITIONS:

Due to the sheer volume of native area and/or out of bounds that surround the golf course, we utilize a Hazard Definitions Map for each hole to determine which areas are deemed lateral hazards, and which areas are deemed out of bounds. Download: HAZARD DEFINITION MAP

 

 

CODE OF CONDUCT:

Competitors must observe proper golf etiquette at all times. Any abuse or disrespect of fellow competitors, officials, employees of Black Gold Golf Club, or other persons conducting the event can be grounds for disqualification. Such abuse may be verbal or physical or threat thereof and includes, but is not limited to: the use of obscene language, physical damage to property or equipment.


 

WITHDRAWAL & NO SHOW POLICY:          

If you find you cannot compete in the Championship, you must officially withdraw from the event by sending an email to Director of Golf, Joe Reilly at jjreilly@kempersports.com. Any player withdrawing prior to 5:00PM on Friday, March 8th will receive a full refund, less a $25.00 processing fee. Withdrawals received after 5:00PM on Friday, March 8th will NOT receive a refund.


 

PRIZES:
In keeping with USGA rules regarding the definition of amateurs, cash prizes will not be issued to players that earn awards. Instead, prize vouchers or scrip will be provided with a retail market value not to exceed the maximum allowable, as specified in Rule 3b of the Rules of Amateur Status.
