Pre-Qualifying: 18-hole qualifying rounds will be held at the Golf Club at South River on Monday, April 29; at Mount Pleasant GC on Monday, June 6, and at Queenstown Harbor on Tuesday, May 21; plus one additional site to be determined. Any ties for the last qualifying score at each site will advance to the qualifying round at Manor Country Club. The MSGA will make the final course assignments.

Maryland Amateur Championship Format/Field Size: The number of qualifying places will be the number required to create a minimum starting field of 120 players (including the exempt entrants) at Manor Country Club for the stroke play qualifying round on June 6.  Any withdrawal from this field will be filled via a blind draw from a pool of the remaining low scorers at the four qualifiers, which will be listed on the website.

The stroke play qualifying round at Manor Country Club will determine the seeding for the match play field of 32. The defending champion (Kevin Grady) will automatically qualify for the field and will receive the #1 seed unless he elects to compete for the medalist prize.  Ties for medalist and for the last place in the match play field will be resolved by a hole-by-hole playoff immediately after the completion of the stroke play qualifying round. Two 18-hole matches will be played on both Friday and Saturday with a 36-hole final match on Sunday.
