Eligibility:  At least one person from each team must be a member of a MAGA or WMGA Member Club and each person must be at least 17 years of age or older on or before December 10, 2024.  If space is available, members of MSGA or VSGA clubs that are not members of MAGA or WMGA will be eligible to play.

 

The maximum handicap index for any player at the time of entry is 8.0.  An up to date USGA Handicap Index (through either the VSGA or MSGA handicap programs) is required.

 

Entry Fee:  $300.00 per team includes golf cart and range ball fees.  The field will be limited to the first 36 teams that sign up.  Teams in excess of 36 will be waitlisted. NOTE:  all entries will remain in pending status and will will not be formally approved and added to the field until the close of entries in the event the tournament is cancelled due to impending bad weather.

 

Entries open for all Friday, October 25 at 12:00 PM and close Saturday, December 7 at 6:00 PM.  Refunds:  If a team withdraws by the close of entry - refund is subject to a $25.00 admin fee.  If a team withdraws after close of entries, no refund will be given unless we can fill your spot(will deduct $25 from entry for refund). 

 

Format:  18 holes, Three Man Scramble.  Full Rules of Play will be distributed the day of play. Three players will share one cart.

 

Rules of Golf:  Play will be governed by the Rules of Golf as approved by the USGA and the R & A.   The competition is final when the prizes have been presented to the winners or, in the absence of a prize ceremony, when all scores have been approved by the Committee.

Prizes:  The winning teams will receive awards and gift certificates. All ties will share the allocated purse for those tied positions.

  

Start Times:  Play will begin at 10:30 AM with a shotgun start.  Hole assignments will be e-mailed to all contestants and may be viewed by visiting the event portal shortly after close of entries.

 

Practice:  Practice rounds are not available.

 

If the team partners are 18 or older, this registration form, including the Participation and Liability Release Agreement, must be reviewed and accepted by both team members.  The person submitting the registration, either on-line or by paper entry, acknowledges that both team members have read and agree to the terms of the Agreement.

 

If a player is under the age of 18, the players' parent or guardian must submit this entry on behalf of the player, and the parent or guardian agrees that he or she is executing the Participation and Liability Release Agreement on behalf of the player and is authorizing the player to participate in the MAGA Winter Scramble on all the terms described.
