Craws 9-Hole Order of Merit 2024

The Carnoustie Craws Order of Merit 9-Hole events are open to Carnoustie Golf Links Junior Season Ticket Holders only. To participate in the events, players are required to have an official handicap index of 54.0 or below. There will be 8 events throughout the summer season and players can gain points that count toward the Order of Merit by participating in these 8 competitions. Points gained from a maximum of 7 events will count toward the season points total. There will be prizes awarded to the top 3 players in the Order of Merit in both scratch and nett categories.

The 9-Hole Order of Merit events are a fantastic way for young golfers, who have a higher handicap index, to gain some competition experience and compete against their peers. Golfers who have a handicap index of 24.5 or above will play from the Black Tees, while golfers who have a handicap of 24.4 or below will play from the Green Tees. When the golfer feels ready and feels capable of completing 18 holes, they can progress to the 18-Hole Order of Merit Events. We would recommend that players who are under 11 years old on 1st January compete in the 9-Hole Order of Merit events instead of the 18-Hole Order of Merit events regardless of their handicap index.
