Pods/Divisions/Championship:  Season Completion Schedule:

>> Pod Play (June 30), Division (July End), Championship August 31

Player-of-the-Year Points: TBD (participation + performance)

Format:  Single Net Match Play. Points awarded for each match will consist of one point for the front side, one point for the back side, and one point for total with ½ point awarded for ties. In other words, a total of three points will be awarded for each match.

Tees:  Each participant may play the tees they qualify for under the WSMGA tee policy. Players using the more difficult tees will receive handicap adjustments based on WHS guidelines. Players must notify the Pro Shop a minimum of 24 hours prior to the event if they wish to play more difficult tees. Failure to do so will require the player to play the tees they qualify under the WSMGA tee policy.

Handicaps: The Match Play League will be a mixed tee handicap league. All matches will be set up off the handicap of the lowest player in the match. Players will use 100% their most current handicap for all matches at the time of the match and players are responsible for verifying the proper handicaps to be used in their match. The Pro Shop will generate an official scorecard for the match. Both players must check in and request the scorecard from the Pro Shop. The Pro Shop, or any member of the Match Play Committee will help, if needed.

Pods:  Pods will consist of at least 5 players per pod. Four matches per player for the Pod Play. Pods will consist of players with comparable/competitive handicap indexes. Overall, Pods are divided into two divisions, the Lower Handicap Division, and the Higher Handicap Division. In the event we do not have a total field divisible by 5, or we will have one Pod with four players (in the case of 4 extra players). Four player pods will play three matches each.

Prizes:  Prize Fund (Club Credits) will be paid out as follows:  A prize fund will be split between the 1st and 2nd place Regular Season finishers in each pod based on the overall number of players. The remainder of the prize fund will be pooled and split between all the Pool winners as determined by order of finish in the playoffs. The overall Champion and runner-up will receive additional pro shop credit to use at his discretion. A specific payout schedule will be published prior to the start of the Championship season match.

Regular / Division / Championship Seasons: It is the responsibility of each player to timely schedule his matches. Failure to play a match within the allowed timeframe may result in loss of points for both players. The Tournament Chair and Match Play Committee will arbitrate any scheduling disagreements.

Regular “Pod” Season: April 15 - June 30. We encourage all players to schedule their matches early to minimize time conflicts. Players MUST play all other Pod members. The single Pod winner (player with the most Pod Play points, including head-to-head) advances to the Division Season.

Division Season: July 1 - July 30. Similar format as within Regular “Pod” Play. Each division participant must play the other division players at least once. The single Division winners from the Lower Handicap and Higher Handicap Divisions advance to the final “head-to-head” Championship Season.

Championship Season: August 1 - 31. Winners of the Lower Handicap Division and the Higher Handicap Division will then play in the Match Play Championship match and must be completed no later than August 31.

Posting Scores:   Scores will be posted after each match by the Pro Shop, unless indicated otherwise. Make sure you turn in a complete and legible scorecard.

Disputes: Any disputes that arise during the regular or playoff seasons should be brought to the attention of the T.C. and the Match Play Committee who will act as the final arbiter for all disputes.
