Format:                                                         

One 18-hole stipulated round of stroke play.  Contestants will play from the WHITE USGA Markers wherever they are situated (see Yardage sheet).  The low individual scores will advance to the U.S. Women’s Amateur Championship at The Golf Club of Tennessee in Kingston Springs, Tennessee on August 6-12, 2018. Any play-offs will take place immediately after the conclusion of play for the last spot and two alternate positions.

 

Competition Schedule:                               

Starting times will start at 8:00am and 12:30pm off of holes #1 and #10.

Please check the NCGA website for groupings and starting times.

Please be at your assigned tee at least 10 minutes prior to your starting time.

 

Practice Round Information:                     

Available to contestants only. Fee - $65 walking, $82 with cart.  Available starting June 21st after 1 PM on a space available basis.  Please contact the Pro Shop at the number listed above and identify yourself as a qualifying contestant. 

 

Cart Information:                                        

Automotive transportation is prohibited. Players and caddies must walk.

Pull-carts are permitted. A limited number of pull-carts are available for rent at Sequoyah CC for a fee of $9. SPECTATOR CARTS ARE PROHIBITED.

 

Caddies:                                                        

Caddies are permitted in the qualifying. A limited number of caddies are available from Sequoyah CC by contacting the Pro Shop in advance. Do NOT expect caddies to be available without prior arrangements.

 

Practice Balls:                                              

Provided for players prior to and following competition round at no cost. The pro shop and practice range will open at 7:00am. The practice putting and chipping greens will open at sunrise. (Note Sequoyah uses limited flight range balls).

 

Payment Information:                                

VISA and Mastercard are accepted for all purchases (golf shop and food and beverage). No CASH will be accepted.

 

Food and Beverage Information:              

The Snack Bar will be open at 7:00 AM and throughout the day. No outside food and beverage is permitted.

 

Withdrawals:                                               

Notify the NCGA at 831-625-4653 to withdraw.  Players that fail to notify the NCGA prior to their starting time will be listed as No Shows.

 

Refunds:                                                        

In the event of injury or illness, contact the USGA at 908-326-1950 for a refund prior to August 6, 2018. No refunds will be issued after August 6, 2018.  A $30 service charge will be deducted from all refunds.

 

ADDITIONAL RULES INFORMATION 

 

Rules Information:                                       

The Rules of Golf effective January, 2016 are in effect and are supplemented by the 2018 USGA Hard Card.  The Committee will provide any additional Local Rules needed at the qualifying site.  It is the player’s responsibility to know the conditions of the competition.

 

Limitation of Golf Balls:                              

The optional condition in Appendix I known as the “One Ball” Rule is in effect. See Appendix I-B-1c (pg. 156).

 

Automotive Transportation:                     

The use of automotive transportation is prohibited for players and caddies.  See Appendix I-B-8 (pg. 159).

 

Distance-Measuring Devices:                     

Optional Local Rule permitting the use of distance-measuring devices that measure distance only is in effect.  See Appendix I-A-7 (pg. 153).

 

Footwear:                                                     

Shoes with traditionally-designed spikes (regardless of composition, i.e., ceramic, plastic, etc.) or spikes, regardless of design, comprised entirely or partially of metal (if such metal may come in contact with the course) are prohibited during the stipulated round.  Penalty for breach of this condition: Disqualification.

 

Grooves Condition:                                     

Optional condition prescribed in Decision 4-1/1 is in effect.  You may check to see if your grooves are conforming by using the Informational Club Database - http://www.usga.org/InfoClubsDB/intro.html
