Thank you for playing in one of the most popular and historic city championships in the country. This is the Match Play tournament portal for all divisions. Below is some important information for players:

 

SCHEDULE

Sat Mar 2: Open Flights first-round matches, Flights 1-5, Presidio

Sun Mar 3: Open Flights first-round matches, Flights 6-8, Presidio

Wed Mar 13: Senior first-round match play, Harding Park

Sat Mar 16: Men's Champ (64), Women's Champ (16), Senior (16), Super Senior (16), Harding Park

                    Women's Inkster (16), Women's Senior (8), Open Flights (8x8), Presidio

Sun Mar 17: Men's Champ (32,16), Women's Champ (8), Senior (8), Super Senior (8), Harding Park

Sat Mar 23: Men's Champ Quarters and Semifinals, all other flights Semifinals, Harding Park

Sun Mar 24: Finals: Men's and Women's Championship 36 holes, all other flights 18 holes, Harding Park

 

STARTING TIMES

Starting times will be available as soon as possible after each match play round in this portal, and also on the San Francisco City tournament website.

 

TEES

The following tees will be used in each division:

 

Men's Championship: Blue tees at Harding Park at ~6800 yards

Women's Championship: Red tees at Harding Park at ~5900 yards

Senior Championship: White tees at Harding Park at ~6400 yards

Super Senior: White/Red Combo tees at Harding Park at ~6100 yards

Women's Senior and Women's Inkster Flight: Blue tees at Presidio at ~5800 yards; Red tees at Harding Park at ~5900 yards

Open Flights: White tees at Presidio at ~6100 yards, White tees at Harding Park at ~6400 yards

 

Exact yardages will be subject to weather and course conditions.

 

TOURNAMENT EXEMPTIONS TO WINNERS

The winner of the San Francisco City Men's, Women's and Senior Championships will receive an exemption into the Porter Cup. The Men's and Women's champions will receive an exemption into the Southwestern Amateur. The Men's, Women's, Senior, Super Senior and Women's Senior champions will be exempt into their respective NCGA Amateur Championships.

SCORING

All scoring will be electronic using Golf Genius. We encourage you to download the app if you don't have it already. Each group will be given a unique GGID to use when entering scores.

 

PRACTICE

The practice areas at Presidio and TPC Harding Park will open at 6:45am.

 

CADDIES/TRANSPORTATION

The use of carts is optional, and players may walk, use a push/pull cart, have a caddie, or ride in a golf cart. Contestants wanting to use a golf cart will be charged the appropriate fees posted at the golf course. Golf carts will be subject to course conditions at the time of play, i.e., cart path only, 90-degree rule, etc.

 

SPECTATOR POLICY

Please relay this policy to any spectators you may wish to bring with you to the course.

 

Disruptive or inappropriate behavior contrary to the good conduct of the tournament in the determination of the Committee will not be tolerated. NO SPECTATOR CARTS.

 

- Please remain on or near car paths wherever possible

- Please stay at least 10 paces away from putting greens and teeing areas

- Do not talk to players during the round. Any conversation could be viewed as advice

- Make sure cell phones are on silent.

- Pictures are permitted; however, do not take pictures during a player’s stroke or routine. Make sure your flash is turned off

- Keep up with the players you are following. Do not follow behind players in the fairway as you could be preventing groups from playing
