2024 TOURNAMENT CRITERIA
The Mickelson National Invitational is a 54-hole stroke play golf tournament for 90 male
professionals and amateurs. Invitees are selected based on how they finished on their
respective money lists, Orders of Merit from 2023 and World Amateur Ranking per
the below criteria.
The Invitational Committee reserves the right to select special invites and sponsors exemptions
in the respective divisions.
Should a player receive an invitation from the Tournament Committee in March 2024,
registration must be complete and received by April 30th, 2024.
Approvals will be sent by the Tournament Committee beginning on April 1, 2024.
Entry Fees will be processed by May 1st, 2024
The final field (except for Monday qualifiers) will be set by June 1, 2024.
Applicants
The field size will be limited to a target of 90 players. Applicants from the following
criteria listed below are given priority consideration:
Top 10 Professionals from 2023 Mickelson National Invitational
Top 5 Amateurs from the 2023 Mickelson National Invitational
Top 10 Alberta professionals on the PGA of Alberta money list for 2023
PGA of Canada 2023 National Champions
Top 5 PGA of Canada professionals on order of merit as of Dec. 31, 2023
Top 5 Albertans on the PGA Tour Canada 2023 order of merit
Top 10 Canadians on the PGA Tour Canada 2023 order of merit
Top 5 Alberta amateurs on WAGR as of Dec. 31, 2023
Top 5 Canadian amateurs on WAGR as of Dec. 31, 2023
Top 5 Alberta juniors on Junior Golf Scoreboard as of Dec. 31, 2023
2023 Provincial Amateur Champions (BC, AB, SK, MB, ON, QC, NB, NS, PE, NL)
Calgary Golf Association - 2023 City Amateur Champion
Edmonton Golf Association - 2023 City Amateur Champion
Mickelson National GC 2023 Men’s Club Champion
Top 5 Qualifiers from Alberta Qualifier - June 10th at Heritage Pointe GC
Top 5 Qualifiers from Monday Qualifier - July 1st at Mickelson National GC
Entry Fee
- Amateur entry fee - $450.00 + GST
- Professional entry fee - $650.00 + GST
