All members should be aware of what the short term and no-show cancellation policies are for the men’s club.  Our membership is privileged with receiving priority tee times throughout the season and we should respect and appreciate that by doing our best to honor our commitment to the course when we sign up for events.  We understand life happens but let’s try to keep the churn to a minimum.

If a registration needs to be cancelled or modified prior to the event registration closing, members can perform that action on their own without reaching out to the board.  This can be done by going to the event page, select “Register Now for …” >>> select “Edit Registration” >>> select your name in the drop down >>> select continue.  From there the entire registration can be cancelled or select show player details and modify/cancel the registration as required  >>> check the acknowledge box and hit save.

If changes need to be made after the event registration has closed please email richterparkmc@gmail.com, please understand these changes are subject to the short term/no show cancellation policy.

Cancellation Policy

  1. “Short Notice” and “No-Shows”
    1. Any cancellation within 3 days of an event and up to the 1st tee time of an event shall be deemed “short notice”.  1st offense is a warning, 2nd offense is a 1 event suspension, 3rd and subsequent offenses are 3 event suspension.  The member must also provide a reason for cancellation.  *Note that not liking your assigned tee time is NOT a valid argument for cancellation.
    2. Any “No Show” with or without notification to the Men's Club after the 1st tee time of an event will result in a 1 event suspension for the 1st offense, 3 event suspension for the 2nd offense, and remainder of the year for a 3rd offense.  The legitimacy for a “no show” will be handled on a case-by-case basis and is at the discretion of the RPMC board.  *Note that ANY no-show will result in a charge to your membership account for the amount of a weekend walking rate, and must be paid in full prior to your account being reactivated.
    3. The board understands that life happens and that there are occasions that arise that prevent your participation.  We only ask that you let us know as soon as possible.  There are almost always players on the waiting list that would like to participate, and we, as a board, have a responsibility to the membership and to the course to fill all allotted tee times when possible.
  2. Pay-to-Play events

During the course of the season, there may be pay-to-play events that require payment beyond the membership fees to participate (ex. Member-Member, Member-Guest, Ryder Cup).  The balance that is due upon registration MUST BE PAID prior to the Monday before the event or your registration may be forfeit.  Payment must be made on the website before this date.  Payments left at the course are not valid and will be returned to you.  Any cancellations made after this point will be deemed “short notice” and as such, will be handled in the manner of a “short-notice” warning or suspension.  These events are typically filled very quickly and keep a lengthy wait list, therefore cancellations made after this date will have payment returned only when the position is filled by another player, but may also face warnings and suspensions at the discretion of the board.  Since head counts for included food are due in the week leading up to the event, we must also require a final count by this time.
