Practice Rounds: A practice round may be scheduled by calling the golf shop and identifying yourself as a player in the field. Cost of a practice round will a cart fee of $25. Tee time availability will be limited to after 1:00 pm.

Starting Times:  Play will begin at 8:00 a.m. off the 1st tee.

 

WithdrawalsPlease advise the Mass Golf office immediately at (774) 430-9016 if you are unable to compete. Failure to advise the Mass Golf office may disqualify the player from future USGA competition. Qualifying & Alternate Spots Available: 2 team qualifying spots, 2 team alternates

 

Distance Devices:  The use of distance measuring devices is permitted.

 

Automotive Transportation: The use of automotive transportation is NOT permitted. Pull/push carts will be permitted. 

 

Caddies: Caddies are allowed. Players may provide their own and should be prepared to bring their own if they want to utilize a caddie as Thorny Lea will not have caddies available.

 

Golf Ball:  The One-Ball Rule will be in effect.  See Appendix I of the Rules of Golf.

 

Competition Tees/ Yardage: The competition will be played from the approximately the below yardage (note that these are guideline and may be adjusted the day of the qualifier).

Golf Shop and Practice Facilities:  Open and available at 7:00 am. Please be aware that the white balls are limited flight and should be used when hitting longer clubs (ie - woods/driver), the yellow balls can be used for all other shots warming up. There is also a "wood hitting" station on the left side of the range that players should utilize.

 

Food & beverage: The snack bar, located on the 10th tee, will be open for players - CASH ONLY will be accepted at the snack bar. Lunch will be available for purchase in the restaurant starting at 11:00 am, both cash and credit are accepted.

 

Dress CodePlease observe the USGA dress code as stated in the U.S. Women's Four-Ball Championship application.

*There will be no regsitration on the day of the event - please report to your scheduled starting hole to recieve local rules, scorecard, etc. 10-15 minutes prior to your starting time.
