ENTRY FEE

 

  • The entry fee for the Golf NS Men's Amateur Championship is $230 CAD / Player (HST included)
  • A practice round is included with your entry fee
  • Details about cart rentals are to be determined and will be shared with all registrants once available.

 

ENTRY DEADLINE

 

  • Registration Opens:   March 31st, 2025 at 9:00am
  • Registration Deadline:   June 6th, 2025 at 9:00pm

 

Exemptions: The top 60 players and ties from the 2024 Golf NS Men's Amateur Championship have earned an early registration exemption for the 2025 Golf NS Men's Amateur Championship.  The previous 5 champions have also earned the same exemption.  All early registration exempt players will be able to register for the 2025 Golf NS Men's Amateur Championship as of March 17, 2025 at 9:00am.

 

Waitlist: If the field is full (144) we encourage you to register for the waitlist. A player's credit card will only be charged once they are accepted into the event.

 

Qualifier:   There will be no qualifying event for this championship.

 

Note:   Golf Nova Scotia reserves the right to extend the registration period.

 

 

REGISTRATION PROCESS

  • All players who are registering for the 2025 Golf NS Men’s Amateur Championship on March 31, 2025, will be placed into PENDING STATUS until May 1, 2025.  

  • All players who earned an early registration exemption by placing in the top 60 at the 2024 Golf NS Men’s Amateur Championship are eligible to register for the event on March 17 at 9:00am and will be accepted into the event immediately. Out-of-province players who have earned an early registration exemption are eligible for early registration.

  • Registrations will be ACCEPTED on a first-come-first-served basis (day and time of registration). Once the field is full (144), remaining registrations will be placed on a WAITLIST.

  • Five (5) additional out-of-province players will be accepted into the event who did not earn an early registration exemption.
  • After May 1st, registrations will no longer go into pending status, and players from any location will be accepted into the event or placed on the waitlist.

 

 

ELIGIBILITY

 

  • Players must have a Handicap Index of 10.0 or lower to compete.
  • Players who decides to take a golf cart will not be eligible for a Team or quota spot at the Canadian Men's Amateur Championship.
  • Handicap Index must be active & updated on the date of the application filing and at the registration deadline. It is the player’s responsibility to ensure their Handicap Index is up to date before the registration deadline. 
  • This competition is open to male golfers who are members of a golf club belonging to Golf Canada or holds a Public Player membership with Golf Canada. Out of Province players must be members in good standing with their respective associations.
  • This event is a counting event for World Amateur Golf Rankings (WAGR)
  • Any player who has a disability or medical condition that alters their ability on the golf course please let Golf Nova Scotia know following your registration.
