- Have Amateur Status in accordance with the current Rules of Amateur Status as published by the R&A Rules Limited and the USGA, and who holds a Handicap Index® of 15.3 and under. In the absence of a Handicap Index®, a current equivalent exact handicap, as issued by a recognised Handicap Authority, of not more than 15.3 at the date of entry will be accepted.
- A player’s Handicap Index®, as at the closing date of entries, will determine the division in which the player will compete. The player’s Tournament Course Handicap, at the closing date of entries, will be used to determine nett results.
- Age restriction: Entrants must be under the age of 19 at the commencement date of the first round of the Championship.
- Entrants holding a Handicap Index® and a handicap issued by a recognised Handicap Authority must enter the Championship using their Handicap Index®. The penalty for failure to enter the Championship in compliance with this section 2(b) is disqualification.
- Entrants must be of the female gender and have been female at birth or have had the female sex assigned. The Committee reserves the right to disqualify any competitor not meeting the requirements for entry to the Championship.
- GolfRSA reserves the right to refuse any entry or, having accepted, subsequently reject any entry where, in its reasonable opinion, there is evidence to suggest that a player’s Handicap Index® or equivalent does not reflect their demonstrated ability or if the player has score abnormalities, such as more than two (2) penalty scores or incorrectly captured scores, on Handicap Network Africa (HNA). Please note that GolfRSA may contact your previous home club, authorised association, Federation or Provincial Union to request a full handicap record.

After the close of entries, entry fees will only be refunded in full to entrants who did not gain a place in the Championship. Any refund of entry fees will be processed within 28 days of the final day of the Championship. If an entrant withdraws before or after the close of entries, their withdrawal is final, and re-entry will not be permitted.
- All entries are subject to the approval of the Committee, which reserves the right to disqualify any person making a false statement in their online entry and/or to accept or refuse or, having accepted, subsequently reject any entry without giving reasons for its decision.
- All competitors are subject to the provisions of the International Golf Federation’s Anti-Doping Policy. Details of the Policy and the List of Prohibited Substances and Methods are available from the IGF’s website (www.igfgolf.org).
