Home advantage may have been a factor in the 6 shot win by host club The Kidderminster Golf Club in the Brandhall Vase. On fairways that were running extremely fast, accuracy and distance control were key skills for the 17 teams from Worcestershire clubs that took part.

It was superb individual round of net 70 by Joe Wier of Churchill & Blakedown GC that secured the England Golf Centenary Salver.
