FALL BALL 2025 - GREENWOOD GOLF CLUB

Welcome to the 39th Annual Fall Ball Mixed Golf Tournament.  We are pleased you have decided to attend and support our tournament and hope that you have an enjoyable time, rekindle old friendships and make some new friends.

POINTS OF INTEREST

  1. Pinehurst Format:  Men play from the WHITE tees, unless their normal tee is from the Senior RED/GOLD, (handicaps have been adjusted to player history) and Ladies play from the RED tees.

  1. Due to a decrease in the number of teams this year, we have decided to have a single shotgun start on both days:  12:00 on Saturday and 09:00 on Sunday.  As always, please try to maintain pace with the group in front.  If one ball is in play and the other is in the woods…let it go, you’ll get more for Christmas.

  1. As we are having a single shotgun, there will one meal sitting on Saturday, at the conclusion of play.

  1. The prize presentation will follow the golf on Sunday.  If you win and you are not present, you will be notified of your win and the prize will be left at the Pro Shop for you to pick up, no later than 31 October 2025.

  1. Our prize structure will be gift certificates and prizes.  The Greenwood Golf Certificates have no expiry date and can be used for merchandise, green fees, cart rental and/or at the restaurant/bar.

  1. We will have a Meet and Greet on Friday – 7:00 to 8:00 PM and a “Glow Ball” putting contest as soon as it gets dark, weather permitting.  KARAOKE will be from 8:00 – 11:00 PM with lots of door prizes.  You must be present to win a door prize.

  1. There will be a Dance on Saturday night following dinner, from 7:00 – 11:00 PM, again with more door prizes.

  1. During registration, your team can pay $10.00 to have a chance to win your entry fee back.

  1. We will have four (4) Closest to the Pin Holes (#s3, 8, 11 and 13) and Squiggly line (hole #17) prizes on Saturday for the men and Closest to the Pin Holes (#5, #6, #8 and #11) on Sunday for the women.  Additionally, Hole #11 (sponsored by Middleton Home Hardware) is sponsoring a $5,000 shopping spree for the first Hole-In-One or a prize for the Closest to the Pin.  To satisfy distance requirements, men who wish to qualify for the Hole-In-One on Hole #11 must play from the White Tee.

  1. For the third year, Mother Nature has not been kind to the Greenwood Golf Club, as with other golf courses, having experienced severe drought; however, please believe us when we say that our leaser and maintenance staff are working extremely hard to bring you the best of conditions.

  1. Due to some areas experiencing damage, we have decided to have Lift, Clean and Place through the Green.  This means anywhere on the Golf Course, excluding Penalty Areas, Hazards, Bunkers and inside the tree line.

If you have questions, please ask any of us on the committee or the Golf Club staff.

Have a great weekend…enjoy your golf, rekindle old friendships, and make some new friends.

Thank you for supporting our tournament!
