EVENT INFORMATION
The Men’s NSW Senior Amateur is open to all male amateur golfers aged 50 years and over who hold a current GA or overseas equivalent handicap not greater than 13.4
The Women’s NSW Senior Amateur is open to all female amateur golfers aged 50 years and over who hold a current GA or overseas equivalent handicap not greater than 22.4.
FIELD SIZE
The maximum field size for the Championship is 264 players (132 women / 132 men)
The Championship will be held over three days. The format will be 54 holes stroke play across eligible age divisions. All players will play one round at Pacific Dunes GC and one round at Nelson Bay GC on either Tuesday 4 or Wednesday 5 March, with a cut occurring after round 2.
The cut will be for the top players (number to make the cut will be determined after the close of entries), based on their 36-hole gross total, and will be played at Pacific Dunes GC
The breakdown of players making the CUT will be for the top 132 players (based on their 36-hole gross total), which will comprise 47 women and 85 men (plus ties) + minimum 2 players per Age Category. This breakdown is based on the number of male v female entrants at the close of entries.. For those players that miss the cut, a daily stableford competition will be provided at Nelson Bay GC.
PLEASE NOTE:
In the event of the entry applications exceeding the number of places available in the Championship (264), entrants will be determined by a handicap ballot, based on the GA handicap at the close of entries as per the Terms of Competition.
Players List, with their current GA HCP will be updated every two (2) weeks. Unsuccessful applicants will be informed without delay (once entries have closed) and will be given the opportunity to compete if withdrawals subsequently occur.
2025 NSW SENIOR OPEN QUALIFYING EVENT
The TOP 5 SCRATCH scores of the NSW Senior Amateur Championship - Over 50 years of age, will gain automatic entry to the 2025 NSW Senior Open Championship at Thurgoona GC, to play alongside some of the legends of the game, including Peter Senior, Peter O'Malley & Peter Lonard.
