EVENT INFORMATION
The SRIXON NSW Mid Amateur Championship is open to amateurs who are 30 years of age and over as at the first day of play, with a GA handicap of 12.4 and under for men or 20.4 for women. It is stroke play over three rounds of 18-holes.
The draw for the first two days of play is random, with a seeded draw for the final round.
FIELD SIZE
The maximum field size for the Championship is 200 players (100 women / 100 men)
Note: The Championship Play Committee reserves the right to increase the number of male or female players should the total field size not be achieved. In the event of entries exceeding the number of available places in the Championship, a ballot will be undertaken with players on the highest GA handicaps at close of entries subject to elimination.
The SRIXON NSW Mid Amateur Championship will be conducted over three 18-hole rounds of stroke play. All players will play one round at Tamworth GC and one round at Longyard GC on either Sunday 1 or Monday 2 June, with a cut occurring after round 2.
The cut will be for the top players (number to make the cut will be determined after the close of entries), based on their 36-hole gross total, and will be played at Tamworth GC
The breakdown of players making the cut will be based on the number of male v female entrants at the close of entries. For those players that miss the cut, a daily stableford competition will be provided at Longyard GC.
PLEASE NOTE:
In the event of the entry applications exceeding the number of places available in the Championship (200), entrants will be determined by a handicap ballot, based on the GA handicap at the close of entries as per the Terms of Competition.
Players List, with their current GA HCP will be updated every two (2) weeks. Unsuccessful applicants will be informed without delay (once entries have closed) and will be given the opportunity to compete if withdrawals subsequently occur.
