Bloomington, IN: The second round of the Trans-Mississippi Amateur Championship started on time at 8:00 am and play was suspended due to darkness at 8:45 PM with players in the pm wave left with six holes to play. Two weather delays totaling just over three hours played havoc with Fifty the schedule but play resumed at 8:15 am today and was completed by 10:00 am. Fifty-four players made the cut at even par.
Tournament leader Lance Simpson slept with the overnight lead at -7 and managed to make three birdies this morning to finish round two at -11. Simpson is ranked 24th in the world based on WAGR and played in this year's U.S. Open. Declan O’Donovan from Australia is in second place at -7. Three players sit at -6, including John Daly II, JP Odland, and Noah Kent. Mid-Am Connor Doyal is at -5.
Third-round play will commence at 11:00 a.m. this morning with play commencing off on the #1 and #10 tees.
