QWGA 9H Event Formats

 

April 16th - Opening Day 9H & 18H

Format: 18H Par 3 Scramble - (All holes will be set up as a Par 3).

4-person teams drawn by the Golf Shop. All Players tee off, choose the best tee shot, all players play from this position. Repeat until the ball is holed.                                                                                                                                                                                                 

 Time - 9:00am breakfast and meeting prior to 10:00am shotgun start.

 

May 7th - Spring Luncheon

Format:

Time - 9:00am

 

May 21st - Formal Guest Day

Players can bring up to (3) guests. This is a 4-person team event. The format is TBD.        

Flights: Based on Participation             

Time - 9:00am shotgun start followed by lunch and awards after the round.

 

June 18th - Member-Member

Format: Net Best Ball

Players play their own ball until holed out or deemed out of the hole. The best net score on each hole counts towards team score.

Handicap Allowance: Each player receives 85% of handicap.

Flights: Based on Participation

Time: 8:30am Shotgun

 

July 2nd - Flag Day

Format: Individual event. Players will be given a numbered flag plus a “target score”, which is the total of the course par + their handicap. Once the participating player hits their target score, they must plant their flag on the fairway/rough cutline. If the player completes the round before reaching their target score, they must return the flag to the Golf Shop and the total strokes they beat their score by is their final score.

Handicap Allowance: Each player receives 100% of handicap

Time: 8:00am Tee Times

 

August 5th – August 6th - Club Championship

Format: 36-hole individual strokeplay event. Players play their own ball throughout.

Handicap Allowance: Net Division – 100%, Gross – 0%

Flights: Championship Flight is Gross, Net flights are determined based on participation.

Time - 8:30am shotgun start

 

September 4th – September 6th - Women’s Classic

Ladies Member-Guest

Format: 4-person team event. Daily format TBD.

Times – Schedule of events will be available soon on tournament page.

 

September 10th - Formal Guest Day

Players can bring up to (3) guests. This is a 4-person team event. The format is TBD.

September 24th - Medal Play

Format: 9 Hole Individual Strokeplay

Handicap Allowance: Each player receives 100%
