Despite a weather forecast of thunderstorms at The Vale Golf & Country Club, the County Senior Championship was played without interruption on what all agreed was an outstanding course. With 30 players from 17 Worcestershire clubs, after 18 holes strokeplay it was a tied finish for the gross County Champion tournament which resulted in a sudden death playoff between Moseley players Richard Tattersfield and Richard Sadler. The battle of the Richards lasted just one hole with Richard Tattersfield taking the win.
