Payment: This event has a handicap ballot. Card payment information will be collected and authorised at the time of registration, but your card will not be charged until players are successful in the ballot and confirmed in our system. This will usually be within the first few days following the entry deadline. Please update your card details in your Golf Genius account if they change between entry and this time.
SUMMARY
The Championship shall be open to male and female amateur golfers of all nationalities who meet the terms of competition below.
This Championship is now a qualifier for the Faldo Junior Tour, wherein, the best boy and girl over the course of the Championship will qualify for the Faldo Junior Tour European Final. More information on the Faldo Junior Tour here.
Entry Qualifications
a) Competitors must be of amateur status as defined by R&A Rules Limited.
b) Competitors who identify as male, non-binary whose sex assigned at birth was male, and trans male golfers of any nationality must play from the male assigned tees and be in possession of a male assigned WHS™ Handicap Index® of 6.0 or less.
c) Female competitors and non-binary competitors whose sex assigned at birth was female of any nationality must play from the female assigned tees and be in possession of a female assigned WHS™ Handicap Index® of 6.0 or less.
d) Trans female competitors of any nationality must play from the male assigned tees and be in possession of a female assigned WHS™ Handicap Index® of 2.0 or less.
e) Entrants holding both an official WHS Handicap and an overseas handicap must enter this Championship using their official WHS handicap.
f) All entrants must be under the age of 21 on 00.00 hrs on 01 January 2025.
g) Failure to enter in accordance with this condition will result in entry being denied.
h) All queries around transgender eligibility must be directed towards competitions@walesgolf.org
The Championship shall be played over 54 holes. 18 holes on day one and day two, the top 70 and ties will play 18 holes on day three.
The Winner shall be the competitor who returns the lowest score over the 54 holes. In the event of a tie, there will be a hole by hole play-off over holes to be decided by the Championship Committee.
A maximum of 144 competitors shall play in the Championship.
