Welsh Open Youth’s Championship – Player Information
May 30 - June 1 2025
Llandudno (Maesdu) Golf Club
Format
54 Holes Stroke Play, 18 holes each day.
After Round 2, cut of Top 70 plus ties.
Tee Times
Tee Times for Rounds 1 & 2 are to be published online & via email on Friday 23rd May.
Round 3 will be in reverse standing order, with times available shortly after the conclusion of Round 2.
Close Tee Time Request
For those that are staying and/or travelling together please submit a Close Tee Time Request by midnight Thursday 22nd May. We will endeavour to put players in close proximity for Rounds 1 & 2 for those staying together or car sharing.
Please note there are no requests for Round 3.
Parental Consent Form
Players who are under the age of 18 on Day 1 of the Championship must complete an Online Parental Consent Form. Failure to do so may result in being withdrawn from the Championship.

Withdrawals
Players withdrawing should email competitions@walesgolf.org
This event is over subscribed and we have a reserve list, if you are not intending on playing or can no longer make the event please let Wales Golf know at the earliest convenience so that we can contact the next available reserve.
Reserve List
This event has a reserve list that can be found online here. If there is a withdrawal the first reserve will be contacted to offer the available space, if the first reserve is unable to attend then next reserve will be contacted and so on until the space is filled.
Faldo Junior Tour Qualifier
This Championship is a 2025 Faldo Junior Tour Qualifier, the best placed Boy and Girl will be invited to the Faldo Junior Tour European Final. More information is available online here.
Practice Round
Practice Round will take place on Thursday 29th May, please book online here
Practice Facilities
On site there is a short practice area with is using your own balls and irons only. There are also 3 nets, a putting green and a chipping green with practice bunker.
There is also a swing room on site which is available to book upon request through the Office at Llandudno (Maesdu) Golf Club.

Permitted – no restrictions
Catering
Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner each day. At player’s own expense.
Clubhouse & Pro Shop
Open 1 hour prior to the start of each day’s play

Shortly after play on Sunday 1st June

On-course Championship Information and Scoring
Scorecards, Pin Positions and Local Rules to be collected at the 1st tee from the starter each morning. Live scoring to be completed by the players (one in each group) via smart phones.
