Player Information File

It is essential that all players review the information and resources housed in the Golf Ireland Players Lounge before their participation in the Championship.

In addition to that information, the following specific points should be noted with regard to this Championship:

Schedule

Wednesday 16th July - Round 1 – 18 Holes Qualifying
Tee times commencing at 10:00am
(Girls Championship commences beforehand at 7:15am)

Thursday 17th July – Rounds 2 & 3

Top 39 plus ties will qualify for Rd 2 & Rd 3

Tee times commencing at 7:30am

Note – The Championship Committee reserves the right to alter tee times.


Ties for the Championship will be resolved by a 3-hole Stroke Playoff in accordance with Golf Ireland General Regulation 8.1
Presentation of Prizes approx. 20 minutes after conclusion of play.

 

Practice Round Bookings

Tuesday 15th July – 1:30-3:30pm

As the Boys & Girls U18 Interprovincials are scheduled on the Monday and Tuesday prior to the Championship tee times are limited for practice the day before on the Tuesday. 

 

Official Practice is available to those travelling from outside of Leinster during the above times/in advance. Practice must be booked with the Pro Shop Tel. 045 893 279.

 

All other practice should be arranged in advance in the lead up to the event for Leinster players.

One complimentary round per player. Any additional practice at players’ own expense. Special rate - Weekdays €25 Weekends €30.

 

Please note that entry into the championship confers no other rights to access the facilities of Millicent GC, except on terms provided by the Club and in this instance by prior arrangement.

Any entrant attempting to access the facilities without prior permission of the club will have their entry from the Championship withdrawn without a refund.
 

Draw

The Draw for the Championship will be published seven days before the event is due to commence.

Anyone who is included in the Starting List will be included in the Championship Draw accordingly.

Withdrawals

Withdrawals must be advised in advance by email to carolinecondon@golfireland.ie

Registration

All competitors MUST register in person at the venue at least 30 minutes before their tee time on the first day only of the Championship with a Golf Ireland official.  The registration desk will be located in the bar area adjacent to main entrance.
 

Local Rules

Golf Ireland Hard Card is in operation and can be obtained from the Players Information Area HERE Any additional local rules will be provided to the players on arrival at the course.

Tees

Play will be from the White tees.

Practice area

14 bays available located near clubhouse, no limit on yardage –
Cost €7 for 100 balls – cash only system in operation for the ball machine.  Short game and putting green area also available.

Digital scoring

We shall be operating Digital Scorecards for the Championship.  In effect this means that the official scorecard for the event shall not be the traditional paper version but will instead be the Digital Card that you and your fellow competitors will fill in on a hole-by-hole basis during the round.

 

Each Player shall be assigned one player from their group for whom they shall update a digital card on their own phone, as well as also maintaining their Marker's Score.

 

Participation is mandatory, so please ensure to have your phone fully charged up and with you on the tee on Day 1. Each player shall receive a unique GGID code from the start to put into the Golf Genius Scoring App.  Please watch the short video HERE from Golf Genius for instructions.  You must ensure you have downloaded the Golf Genius App before arrival.

 

Players will still be required to report to the Score Recorders Area immediately on departing the 18th Green, at which point the Recorder shall assist the group to verify scores.

 

Other information

Toilets - Located at the 9th hole right hand side – no code required.
Opening times – The Clubhouse and Pro Shop will be open one hour before first tee time each day.
Trollies – Pull trollies €4 Electric €15 (book electric in advance)
Yardage books – not available.

Towels for showering are available - €2.
Defibrillators (2) - located in the hallway of the clubhouse and also on the 17th hole (fairway).
No golf shoes allowed in the clubhouse area.
Players, Spectators and Officials must adhere to any parts of the course which the club has marked as restricted/hazardous.
