2025 MATCH PLAY and RINGER TOURNAMENTS

Raccoon Creek Weekday Men’s Club

DEADLINE FOR MATCHPLAY SIGN UP IS: MARCH 25, 2025

Jon Cram is in charge of the Men’s 2025 Match Play and Ringer Tournaments, and the entry fee this year is $20 for each tournament.

His contact information is :  dr.jjcram@gmail.com or (303) 944-9636.

Our Match Play tournament field will be split into two brackets as we did last year.  Your bracket will depend on your handicap on the day that we divide the field.  We will, however, this year include a consolation bracket so everyone should be assured of at least 2 matches.

There will be a champion and a runner-up paid for each bracket, with the winner of the consolation bracket having a chance to play the loser of the winner bracket to determine second place.

At the completion of each match, please text or email a copy of the signed and dated scorecard to Jon Cram.  Typical results might be "Jones over Smith 2 and 1".

Following are the ABSOLUTE deadlines for completion of each round of matches – exceptions should be rare and will be handled on a case by case basis.

Round 1 must be completed by May 18th

Round 2 must be completed by  June 15th

Round 3 must be completed by July 13th

Round 4 must be completed by August 10th

Match play Championships must be completed by September 14th

The Ringer Tournament will be similar.  We will utilize two flights:  one for the lower handicaps and one for the higher ones.  Each player’s score for each individual hole played will be recorded and the best score for the season will be the player’s final score. As an example, a player that plays in 5 tournaments, scores (based upon his handicap) on hole #1 (par 4) a 6, 4, 5, 3 and 5.  At the end of the Ringer Tournament that player receives a final score of 3 for hole #1. It is obvious that the more tournaments a player participates in, the better chance he has of winning the Ringer Tournament.  Golf genius magically keeps tract of each of our rounds.  We will pay a champion and runner-up in each bracket.

If you have any questions at all please contact Jon Cram.
