Skins Game: Each week we will have a cash skins game. This is included in your weekly game fee. Typically, the skins game will be gross flighted skins.
Himalya Putting Contest: Each week players will have the opportunity to putt on the Himalaya putting green. We will have prizes for the lowest number of putts each week. You may putt either before or after your round. Please pick up a scorecard at the clubhouse.
Prizes: Prizes will be paid out in Bluff Bucks (golf shop credit) weekly for these games. Games will be posted before play begins and all results will be posted online using the Golf Genius Software. Handicaps: In 2025, we will be using the Golf Genius Manager program. This requires ALL players to have an active WORLD HANDICAP SYSTEM(GHIN) handicap. This fee is Included in your Men’s Club entry. Maximum Men’s Club handicap will be 33.
Maximum Score (replaces Equitable Stroke Control). The max score you can get on a hole is 10. To help with pace of play, if you reach this stroke count, please pick up and write your max score on the scorecard.
CLUB SCORES WILL BE POSTED BY Bluff Creek GC STAFF AFTER PLAY using Golf Genius Manager program. All scores will be posted to the GHIN System by Jason. DO NOT post your Men’s Club scores to the GHIN as you will have double scores.
Using this software allows players to see upcoming events, pairings, results, points, handicaps and prize distribution in real time. A code (GGID- 25BCMC) will enable you to login and check out what's happening in the Men’s Club.
Cancelation/Suspended Play: A decision to cancel play will be made approximately 60 minutes prior to first tee time. Information will be sent via email. If play gets canceled due to the weather prior to the start of play, that week's event will be added to the end of the year. Order of events will remain as posted.
Suspension of play: if an event is active and severe weather is inevitable, play will be suspended and a decision to complete the event will be made by Jason. Please seek shelter in the clubhouse or pavilion until a decision is made. Please do not assume that play is cancelled for the week.
Weekly Registration & Standing Tee Times:
ALL TEE TIMES ARE DONE THROUGH GOLF GENIUS. DO NOT CALL THE CLUBHOUSE TO MAKE ANY CHANGES.
Players without a Standing Tee Time will need to make their tee time each week though the Men’s Club Portal. An email will go out each Monday at 8 am to make your tee time for the following week. Players may pick their own tee time, along with their playing partners, each week.
Standing Tee Times: Those with Standing Tee Times will not need to make their tee time each week. It will be assumed you will be participating each week of play. If you are not able to play you will need to contact Jason or take yourself off the tee sheet.
Day of Play: If you are not able to play the day of play you may call the clubhouse to take your name off of the tee sheet. We will not be putting players on the tee sheet in the clubhouse until the day of play.
No Shows: Emergencies can be an exception but call the club house if you know you will not be playing that day. A no call no show may be charged a No-Show fee of $25.
Pace of Play: Arguably the most frustrating feature of any type of play is slow play. Be mindful of your group’s pace of play. Always be playing ready golf. Don’t be caught sitting in a cart watching when you can be walking to your ball (providing it safe) to hit. Same goes for putting. If you are ready to putt and the other players are not, even though they are further out, go ahead and putt. You need to keep pace with the group in front of you.
BCGC Men’s Club pace of play guidelines are fair and very manageable by players:
Players/groups must:
- Play shall be completed in under 2 hours 10 minutes for the 9 holes.
- If any players/groups are out of position the following will occur:
- Players/groups will be notified if they are out of position.
- If players/groups do not make an effort to speed up play they will be notified again that they are out of position.
- If Players/groups do not finish in the allotted time two weeks, they may be subject to getting their tee time moved.
- Groups not finishing in 2 hours and 10 minutes or more than 10 minutes after the group in front, those players/groups are subject to having their tee time moved.
- If any player or group feels that there is one player that is slowing up the group, please let Jason know and he will take the appropriate actions.
- If players/groups do not finish in the allotted time two weeks, the player/group may be moved to the last tee time of the day at the discretion of the committee.
