36 Holes Stroke Play Championship
Flights Determined by ghin index - Any Player from Any Flight per Division is eligible to win the respective Championship.
Tees:
Men Round 1: Middle, Seniors Forward
Men Round 2, Flights 1,2,3 Back Tees, Flights 4,5,6 Middle, Seniors Forward
Play is governed by the Rules of Golf effective January 2019, and where applicable, by the following Local Rules and Terms of the Competition. Committee Procedures refers to the Committee Procedures section in the current Official Guide to the Rules of Golf.
PLAY THE BALL WITH PREFERRED LIES, WITHIN 12" OF ORIGINAL POSTION, NO NEARER THE HOLE AND ONLY WITHIN YOUR OWN FAIRWAY.
1. Out of Bounds and Lost Balls:
Out of Bounds is defined by the line between the course-side points at ground level of white stakes and fence posts. A Ball is lost if the ball is not found in 3 minutes after begins to search for it.
2. Penalty Areas:
- Penalty areas are defined with red paint.
- A ball is in the penalty area when any part of the ball lies on or touches the ground inside the edge of the penalty area
3. Relief on Opposite Side of Red Penalty Areas:
Red penalty areas with an opposite side relief option will be indicated on the applicable “Notice to Players”.Model Local Rule B-2.1. Note: When the edge of a red penalty area coincides with the boundary of the course, Model Local Rule B-2.2 is in effect and modifies the first paragraph of Model Local Rule B-2.1.
4. Abnormal Course Conditions and Integral Objects:
a. Ground Under Repair:
i) Any area encircled by a white line
ii) Seams of cut turf or seeded areas. – Model Local Rule F-7 is in effect.
iii) Any damage from burrowing animals
b. Immovable Obstructions:
i) Asphalt and artificially surfaced roads and paths.
ii) Any fixed object on the property.
- Starting the Round: Rule 5.3 Your starting time is an exact time, penalties for breach apply.
6. Pace of Play:
- You should play at a prompt pace throughout the round, pace is 2 hrs / nine and shots should be played within 40 seconds of it being your turn.
- Unreasonably delayed play penalty: 1 stroke 1st breach, 2nd General penalty, 3rd Penalty DQ.
7. Procedures for Bad Weather and Suspensions of Play:
a. Methods for Stopping and Resuming Play:
A suspension of play for a dangerous situation will be signaled by one prolonged note of a siren or horn.
8. Returning Scorecard:
For the purpose of applying Rule 3.3b(2), a player’s scorecard is treated as returned when the player has first left the scoring area with both feet. When all scores have been posted on the official scoreboard and approved the Committee, the competition is closed.
9. Ties: A tie for the Championship will be settled by Sudden Death Playoff on hole #1, 2, 8, 9 etc…Ties for all flights will be settled by card. Final 18 total, final 9 total, last 6 total, last 3 total then 18, 17, 16 etc…
