Encouraged members to come to the lunch even if you are not playing and participate in the silent auction and/or donations. $30,000 has already been raised.

Constitution/By-laws Changes - Potential changes reviewed as highlighted on the Constitution handout and discussed with membership to include: .

  1. Change the  title of social chairs to Special Event Chair and wording in Section 6 will state they will be responsible for all special events related to 9 hole golf. .

  2. The Directory Chair will be appointed when there is a need for a printed directory.

(We are going to do a survey and one of the questions will be: if you would like a

printed book or just have the information in Golf Genius)

  1. Discussed the role of Sunshine and to continue to have a mentor program.

  2. Handicap changes discussed and proposed that new members must have an established handicap. There is no required handicap level and the club will assist and guide new players in getting their handicaps. Beginning golfers are encouraged to sign up with Fab Fores for basic golf skills.. Discussed that this issue will be voted on in October or November. Discussed having a list of volunteers to play with new players  for additional games if needed to get handicaps.

Sponsorship review: Discussed getting sponsorship and asking members if  we still want to do this? Do we like having sponsors and how much do we want these prizes?  Feedback is encouraged.

A survey will be sent out sometime in the Fall for member input about various topics and to address some of the above issues. .
