The Walton Heath Trophy Week
The Walton Heath Trophy is a 72 Hole, Strokeplay, World Amateur Golf Ranking event, played over the Old and New Courses at Walton Heath.
The first 36 holes will be played over the New and Old Courses with competitors playing one round on each course. The 30 lowest scores and ties over these 36 holes will qualify for the final 36 holes to be played over the Old Course in the morning and the New Course in the afternoon of Thursday 24th July.

The Jill Thornhill Rose
The Trophy has been commissioned in honour of Walton Heath’s most decorated female golfer and current Club President Jill Thornhill.
Jill is one of England's finest ever amateur golfers. A three-time Curtis Cup player (winning twice) and Captain (1990), a British Amateur champion, English Amateur champion, Smyth Salver winner, 9-time Home Internationals player for England (winning 5 times), 4-time European Team Championship player for England (winning twice), 4-time Vagliano Trophy player (winning three times) and has been Surrey Women’s Amateur Champion no fewer than 16 times across four decades (1962 – 1997).
A truly remarkable player and a treasured Member of Walton Heath Golf Club.
WAGR
The Walton Heath Trophy is a WAGR qualifying event. The WAGR classification will be determined after the event by the WAGR team.
