2025 MAPGA Assistants Championship
This is NOT a Player of the Year Event.
The deadline to register is 12:00 PM Wednesday, August 6th. Registration is now through the MAPGA and NOT the National office.

Assistant PGA Professional Championship Associate Eligibility:
The PGA of American National Board voted to require Assistant Professional Associates (B-8) to have successfully completed and passed Level 1 and matriculated into Level 2 of the PGA PGM program to be eligible to compete in the Assistant PGA Professional Championship. Players in Level 1 can still play in the Section Assistant Championship but can't advance to the National Championship.

Optional Contest Registration: If you want to register for the Optional Section Players Pool Contest ($100) and/or Section Skins Contest ($40), please use this Golf Genius event page. The deadline to register for these optional contests is 12:00 PM Wednesday, August 6th.
APA Members: May register separately for the APA Assistants Championship and pay a $50 entry fee. You must go to the APA schedule to register.
Eligibility: MAPGA Class A-8 Members and B-8 Associates with or without playing privileges. All must be eligibly employed and in good standing as of the entry deadline and tournament date.
Compensation Survey: ALL PLAYERS must complete the compensation survey in order to play in the event. CLICK HERE to fill out the survey.
Entry Fee: $125 per person.
Start Time: Tee Times starting at approximately 8:00 AM on Monday off Hole #1 Only, and 8:00 AM on Tuesday off Hole #1 Only.
Format: 36 holes, at Stroke Play.
Practices rounds: Please call CC Of Virginia Pro-Shop for practice rounds. Those players who are local are encouraged to play before the weekend due to the limited amount of time. The Sunday prior to the event will be limited to only those players who are traveling for the event.
Qualifying Positions for the National Assistant Championship: There will be 4 qualifying positions and 3 alternate spots. For those who qualify for the National Assistant Championship, you must be eligible for employment during the event dates.
Tees: There will be two sets of tees (one set of tees for men and one set for women set at approximately 85% of the men’s distance).
Ties: A tie for first place shall be decided by a sudden death playoff beginning immediately following the completion of play. All other ties shall split the prize money.
