Welcome to the 2025 Storey Creek Generations Cup, presented by Erika Haley & Associates RE/Max Check Realty! It's our aim to answer all questions you may have for our event on this page. If you are unable to find your answer, please click on the orange help button to email our Head Professional, Steven MacPherson.

We've had a blast in our first two years and invite you to join us for year 3.

Teams are created of pairs of family members, skipping at least one generation. There are lots of permutations, including:

Mums with Sons/Daughters

Dads with Daughters/Sons

Grandma with Daughter/Son/Granddaughter/Grandson/Dad/Mum

Grandad with Son/Daughter/Grandson/Granddaughter/Mum/Dad

We have probably missed some! We want to see all ages playing together in a really fun format. Last year we had a 5 year old as well as a golfer in their 70's. As you know, golf is one of only a few sports where all ages can compete equally and have lots of fun at the same time.

Tournament Format:

18 Holes playing a 6,6,6.

6 Holes Best Ball

6 Holes Alternate Shot

6 Holes Scramble

Prizes for Best Gross Teams and Best Net Teams.

Teams will be challenged with KP's at Par 3's.

Tees:

Grandad's, Dad's, Sons and Grandson's - Blue/White Combo Tees

Grandad's and Dad's over 70 years - White Tees

Grandma's, Mum's, Daughters and Granddaughters - Red Tees

Sons and Grandson's under 12 years - Red Tees

Handicap:

Players need a current Golf Canada Handicap to be eligible for prizes in the Net Division.

Players DO NOT need a Golf Canada Handicap to participate in this event.

The Pro Shop will freeze all players indexes prior to completing the draw.

Pairings:

To ensure the integrity of the event, and to promote the social aspect, (meeting your new best friends for life), the Pro Shop will draw playing partners. We will make the best effort to keep similar playing handicaps together.

Tee Times:

If Registration increases significantly this year we may decide to move the event to a shotgun format with tee times starting at 1:30, however at the moment, we have tee times blocked for the event between the times of 8:30 and 10:00 in a Crossover format. (1st and 10th tee starts)

The draw for the first round takes place a few days before the event and will be emailed to all competitors, as well as posted in this Tournament Portal.

Power Carts:

Carts are available for the tournament. They can be purchased as a whole cart or by cart seat at Registration.

Push Carts:

Rental Push Carts are available for rent. We have a fleet of 30. For players bringing their own push carts, unfortunately due to limited space in our building we have no space to store them during your stay.

Pace of Play:

Each competitor that enters this and other events hopes for good pace of play. This format lends itself to good pace with only two balls being holed out on each green. We do however request that players do ALL they can to maintain pace with the group ahead of them.

Practice Rounds:

Practice rounds can be reserved for each of the seven days before the tournament at a discounted rate of just $60 adult and $30 junior.

Regular rate is $99-$119 May-September.

Pro Shop Discounts:

During Tournament Weekend, competitors will be offered the same discounts that Storey Creek Members receive:

20% off Clothing and Headwear

15% off Shoes and Gloves

10% off Equipment, Balls, Carts, Bags and Miscellaneous items

Meals:

Players will receive a meal after their round. Our F&B Manager, Marty Smith will send menus out in advance.

For those with dietary concerns please contact Marty and advise so we can prepare you suitable meals. To email Marty CLICK HERE.

Refund:

In organising the four major tournaments we stage at Storey Creek each year, the Mixed, the Crystal, the Generations Cup and the Labour Day, each event suffers from a large percentage of withdrawals over the final few days. This can throw the finalised draw into disarray. Food costs, Green fees costs and Admin costs also occur. Like last year, we have a late cancellation program in place. Please advise your playing partner.

95% Refund - cancel more than 30 days in advance

75% Refund - cancel more than 72 hours in advance

No Refund - cancel less than 72 hours in advance

Warm Up Basket:

All players receive a complimentary warm up basket before play begins.
