$70 per player billed to your account. Includes breakfast, lunch and prizes.
FORMAT
On each hole three players play scramble format, and one player plays their own net ball as the “Hot Ball”. Add both scores together for the team score. Hot Ball tees are pre-determined and marked on your scorecard before teeing off. Open holes (two holes that are not pre-determined) any of the 4 players can play as the Hot Ball hole but you must declare this before anyone tees off the open hole.
3 Person Scramble
When playing the scramble format, players can improve their lie up to one club length from the original spot no closer to the hole but must keep the selected ball in the same condition as the original ball. Example if the original ball is in a bunker all 3 shots must come from inside the bunker, even if one club length gets you out of the bunker. Maximum Score is NET DOUBLE BOGEY
- 10% of the team’s total course handicap will be used
1 Person Hot Ball
When playing the Hot Ball format, the player will play their own ball until it is holes and record their net scores. They may improve their lie up to one club length from the original spot no closer to the hole but it must remain in the same condition. Maximum score is NET DOUBLE BOGEY. Each player must play the Hot Ball format for a minimum of 4 holes.
- 100% of each player’s handicap will be used
- You may lift clean and place your ball, up to one club length and no closer to the hole in both the Hot Ball and Scramble formats.
- 14 Club rule is in effect
- The local rule for Alternate to stroke and distance for a lost ball or out of bounds is in effect
Due to the tournament format the players’ score will not be posted to GHIN.
PAYOUTS
Overall Winner: There will be one overall winner
(Total of both the Hot Ball & the Scramble Ball)
Overall Flight (total of both Hot Ball & Scramble): The number of payout places will be determined based on participation
Hot Ball Flight: The number of payout places will be determined based on participation.
Scramble Flight: The number of payout places will be determined based on participation.
Winners and Flight Winners receive pro shop credit.
A team can only win one way.
Closest to Pin: A closest to the pin contest will be held on each par 3, the winner of each will receive $100 in cash.
ELIGIBILITY
The field will be held to a Maximum of 30 Teams. The tournament is open to all MGA Members on a first come, first serve basis. If you would like to play but do not have a full team, contact the pro shop to sign up as a single and they will try to match you with a team.
PLAYER OF THE YEAR POINTS
Player of the Year points are awarded based on overall team finish. See the Player of the Year Policy for details on point allocation.
