Welcome 2025 Muirfield Club member:

Welcome to a new Muirfield Club season!!!  

 

 

  1. GHIN Handicap:   Your GHIN handicap fee will be included in the Muirfield Club application fee this year:  $170 for members $195 for non-Newcastle dues paying members.  We have adopted the World Handicap System for all events for 2020 forward.  More information can be found here:  https://wagolf.org/keep-score/handicap-information/whs/

 

  1. Muirfield Club After-Golf Space:   We will have a reserved space for Muirfield Club on Thursday nights this season again.  (exact room and space is subject to change based on occupancy needs).  We will also be featuring a buffet style meal.  We will rotate through a specially prepared selection of meals each Thursday. This ensures everyone will have a place to sit and guarantee your meal will be hot and ready when you come off the golf course!  
     
  2. Special Events:  We will again feature a couples night, this time with Karaoke!!  Find your partner for these fun 2 person Shamble formats!  The format will again have mixed couple and all male divisions but encourage you all to bring out your golfing significant other and show them how much fun Thursday nights are at Newcastle!  You will also see the popular Par 3 tournament to finish the season as well as wine and liquor tasting nights!
     
  3. Muirfield Cup Matches:  The Muirfield Cup points and matches will be back for 2025.  The top 20 Muirfield Cup point earners will be invited to play in the Muirfield Cup Matches in late September.  Remember, you accumulate points simply by participating (bonus points are also awarded for cashing or winning in events).

 

Highlights for the 2025 season:

 

  1. We are excited to add a season long Eclectic Competition paying gross and net winners on both courses.
  2. "Adopt a Hole":  Members will "own" a hole based on last name and help repair extra ball marks and fill divots on their hole!
  3. Home & Home Matches:  we are looking to schedule team competitions against other clubs like Fairwood CC and Harbour Pointe GC.  More info to come once match dates and pricing is confirmed for 2025!
  4. Saturday Pot Game:  This is your opportunity to play in our every Saturday game.  Tee times are held from 9:10 to 10:00 and all players who sign up are paired randomly in foursomes who compete in a net team format against the other foursomes.
