FORMATS

2-Person 6 | 6 | 6 Format

  • Holes 1–6: Best Ball

  • Holes 7–12: Modified Chapman

  • Holes 13–18: Scramble
This format mixes three different styles of team play to challenge versatility and teamwork.

Lawrence Welk Best Ball

  • 1 Best score is counted on Par 5s

  • 2 Best scores are counted on Par 4s

  • 3 Best scores are counted on Par 3s
This format emphasizes strategy depending on hole length and difficulty.

Modified Chapman

  • Both players hit a tee shot.

  • Partners then hit each other's ball for the second shot.

  • For the third shot, one ball is selected and played in alternate shot format until holed.
If Player A’s second shot is chosen, Player B hits the third shot. This continues until the ball is holed. Only one score is recorded.

Best Ball (2-Person or Team)

  • Each player plays their own ball individually on each hole. The lowest score of the team on each hole is recorded as the "best ball."

ChaChaCha (4-Person)

  • Hole 1: Count 1 best ball

  • Hole 2: Count 2 best balls

  • Hole 3: Count 3 best balls

  • Then repeat the cycle
Encourages consistent play from the whole team with increasing scoring pressure.

2-Person Scramble

  • Both players hit a tee shot, select the best one, and both hit from that spot.
  • Continue selecting the best shot and hitting from there until the hole is completed.
  • Only one score is recorded.

4-Person Scramble

  • All four players hit tee shots, choose the best one, and all play from that spot.
  • Repeat until the ball is holed.
  • This is a team-friendly format that allows players of all skill levels to contribute.

Individual Low Gross (Senior, Super Senior)

  • Each player plays their own ball for the entire round.
  • The total number of strokes is recorded without handicap adjustments.

Individual Stableford

Points are awarded based on performance on each hole: EXAMPLE POINTS STRUCTURE

  • Eagle = 8 points

  • Birdie = 4 points

  • Par = 2 points

  • Bogey = 1 point

  • Double Bogey or worse = 0 points
The player with the most points at the end wins. This format rewards aggressive play.

Skins & Flag Prizes

In a skins game, the player or team with the lowest unique score on a hole wins the "skin." If there's a tie, the skin carries over to the next hole.
Flag prizes are special contests on designated holes, such as:

  • Longest Drive

  • Closest to the Pin

  • Longest Putt
