2 Man Best Ball Teams

Every Wednesday starting on May 7th!

Open to individuals 50 years old and above

 

 

League Format:

The “regular season” will include 17 weeks of 18-hole team total net match play.

The total team net score will determine who wins the hole.

Points are awarded per hole: 

• 2 points if you win the hole
• 1 point if you tie the hole
• 4 bonus points for winning the match
• 2 points if you tie the match
• Total of 40 points available per match. 

 

League Rules

Dues:  $50 Per individual and/or $100 Per Team. League Fees MUST be paid before the start of league.  If you are not a GreatLIFE member the appropriate green fees and cart fees will apply.

 

Weekly Game: There will be an optional weekly game that will cost $5.  We will pay out 100% of the entry fees for the weekly game.  You must check in for the weekly game to be eligible.

 

Schedule: There will be 17 weeks of league play, including playoffs, starting Wednesday, May 8th.  Playoffs will be held weeks 15-17. We will have the schedule set for the year as to when and who you will be playing.  Divisions will alternate playing the front nine and back nine.

 

Divisions:  We will split the league into two divisions based on total team handicap.  Teams will play everyone in their division one time and depending on how many teams we have they will play some teams twice.

 

Playoffs: The top 4 teams overall in each flight will make the playoffs.  The division will playoff to determine the division winner.  The division winners will play the final match to determine the overall 2-Man Senior League Champion.

 

Payouts:  We will have payouts for the division leaders for the first half(10 weeks) and 2nd half of league.  The top

 

Tee Times:  Tee times will be the following:

1. May: 9 am start off #1 and #10
2. June, July and August: 8 am start off of #1 and #10
3. September:  9 am start off #1 and #10

 

Scoring:  All scoring will be done on Golf Genius.  We will help educate players with the Golf Genius app.  Fox Run will post all of the scores each week.

 

Results:  All of the results and standings will be on the 2 Man Senior Golf Genius Portal.

 

Handicaps:  Players will get 100% of their HDCP for the weekly game. Players will get 100% of their handicap for the team match.  We will stroke off the low handicap.  Ex.  If the lowest player in the group is a 5 handicap, he will play as a zero and the other players will subtract 5 strokes from their handicap.

 

GHIN Handicap:  ALL players must have a active GHIN handicap to participate.

 

Subs:  Please let us know if you will be needing a sub ASAP.  We will be printing scorecards each Tuesday afternoon.  All subs must have a active GHIN handicap or they will play to a Zero.

 

Forfeits + 1 Player vs 2 Players

All League players must find a sub if they are unable to play. If a team cannot play, they forfeit the week.

The forfeiting team gets zero points and the team winning by forfeit gets 30 points. If one team cannot find a sub for their missing teammate, one player may play against two players. The score for the player that is missing will be an 80. The score will be played as if a scratch golfer or 0 handicapper shot an eight over round of 80.

 

If both teams are absent, the match must be made up within one week. If the match has not been made up within two weeks both teams split the 40 points for the week. If players cannot decide on a time to play, they will split the 40 points.

 

If a team cannot play the week of the match and no make up date can be decided the team that could not play will forfeit and get 0 points for that week.
