2025 Nevada State Amateur Championship

FORMAT:  54-Hole Stroke Play (No Cut)

 

FIELD SIZE: 66 Players - Players registering after the maximum field size has been reached will be put on a waiting list.

 

TEE TIMES:

  • Monday and Tuesday (July 28-29) - Double Tee start at approximately 8:30 AM.
  • Wednesday(July 30) - Double Tee start at approximately 8:30 AM.

 

ENTRY FEE: $400 (Includes 3 rounds of golf, golf cart, range balls, prize fund, tee gift, and food on the final day of play).

 

UNITED STATES AMATEUR EXEMPTION: The 2025 Nevada State Amateur Championship is an official USGA Exemption Event. The 2025 Nevada State Amateur champion will receive a full exemption into the 2025 U.S. Amateur Championship. The U.S. Amateur Championship will be held at The Olympic Club in San Francisco, August 11-17.

 

PRACTICE ROUNDS:  The practice round rate is the accompanied guest rate of $140. Practice round times will be limited to weekdays after 11:00 AM and weekends after 12:00 PM. All times are subject to availability and at the discretion of the host club. To book a practice round you will need to contact the Anthem CC pro shop directly.

 

ELIGIBILITY: This event is only open to active male members of the Southern and the Northern Nevada Golf Associations that meet the eligibility requirements below.

  • Must be 15 years or older by July 28, 2025. 
  • An up-to-date and verifiable handicap index of 3.0 or lower is required in order to be eligible to register. 

 

REGISTRATION:

  • Opens to all exempt players on April 1, 2025 @ 9:00 AM PST
  • Opens to all eligible players on April 9, 2025 @ 9:00 AM PST
  • Closes on July 18, 2025 @ 5:00 PM PST

 

WAGR: This event counts for World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR) points.

 

TOURNAMENT YARDAGE: Please note that yardages are subject to change based on a variety of conditions including but not limited to weather, course condition, committee discretion, etc. The committee will also utilize other teeing areas on certain holes each day of the championship.

 

 

CADDIES: Caddies are NOT permitted for the championship. 

 

SPECTATORS: Spectators are permitted. Spectators must walk. There will be no spectator carts available for rent. 

 

EXEMPT PLAYERS:

  • Top 10 players and ties from the 2024 Nevada State Amateur Championship
  • 2024 Nevada State Match Play Champion
  • 2024 Nevada State Mid-Amateur Champion
  • 2024 Nevada State Senior Amateur Champion
  • Nevada State Amateur Champions from the past 5 years
  • Up to 4 Junior Player Exemptions based on resumes reviewed and approved by the State Championship Committee
  • Up to 4 Committee Special Invites based on playing resumes approved by the State Championship Committee

 

REFUND POLICY: After the established deadline for a Nevada State event, players can only receive a refund if there is a waiting list of players and a waitlisted player agrees to fill the vacant spot. 

NOTE: There will be an automatic $25 processing fee associated with any refund issued for a cancellation prior to the registration closing date.
