INFORMATION

 

Both rounds will be played on the Estates (Front) and Links (Back) nines at Twin Lakes G&SC.

 

TOURNAMENT DATE: Monday-Tuesday, June 2-3, 2025 – Morning shotgun starts on both days of the tournament.

PRACTICE ROUND:  Please contact the golf shop for rates and availability, (248) 650-4550.  Contestants must call in advance to reserve a tee time and identify themselves as GAM contestants. Rates and availability are at the discretion of the host facility.

 

GPS & RANGE FINDERS: In this competition, if a player uses a distance-measuring device that is designed to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect his/her play, AND USES IT FOR THOSE OTHER CONDITIONS, the player is in breach of Rule 4.3, for which the penalty is TWO STROKES for the first breach of this rule and DISQUALIFICATION for a subsequent breach during the stipulated round.

 

FOOD: A buffet lunch for players will be served at the course on both days of the tournament.

 

CADDIES/CARTS: Automotive transportation is mandatory for this Championship and is included in your entry fee. Caddies are NOT permitted for this championship. Spectator carts are only permitted if a request, accompanied by a doctor’s note confirming the spectator’s need for a cart, is submitted to the GAM at least two days before the competition. PRACTICE RANGE: The range opens one hour prior to the start of play and is complimentary for players on the day of the competition, prior to play only.

 

PLAYOFF: A tie for the overall Championship in the 19-24, Mid-Amateur, or Senior divisions will be broken using a hole-by-hole playoff. All other ties will be broken using the USGA Tiebreaker Method. 

 

WITHDRAWAL:  If you must withdraw, please notify the GAM by e-mailing tournaments@gam.org. If you must withdraw within 24 hours of the competition, please contact the GAM office at (248) 478-9242 ext. 124. Failure to notify may result in suspension from future GAM competitions.
