Competitor Information
Format
Those in the Under 8s, Under 10s & Under 12s age groups will play 9 holes of modified stableford.
The Under 14s category will play an 18-hole stableford competition
The Under 18s category will play an 18-hole net strokeplay competition
Each age group will have their own specific teeing ground to use for their round. Full information will be available on the day at the Competitions Office and from the Starter.

Registration
All players and accompanying adults must register in the Competitions Office on site at Carmarthen Golf Club at least 30-60 minutes prior to their tee time. The Competitions Office will be located in the main clubhouse and will be clearly signposted.
Please ensure you are at the first tee 5-10 minutes ahead of your tee time.
Parents and Supporters
It is a requirement that all competitors are accompanied by a parent/carer whilst at the event. Parents/carers may carry or push bags on the course for those in the U8/U10/U12 categories only. No golf specific advice is to be given in any of the categories.
Information for parents/guardians and supporters will be given out at the Competitions Office when the player registers.
Tee Times
The tee times for this event have been emailed to you and can be accessed via the event portal page here.
Withdrawals
Players who have to withdraw are requested to inform the Competitions Team at the earliest opportunity. Please email rebecca.hawke@walesgolf.org or telephone 07821665609.
Accommodation
There is plenty of accommodation nearby in Carmarthen including the Boars Head and the Ivy Bush Hotel.
Dress Code
Smart casual clothing is expected for all. No denim trousers to be worn during the event.
Practice Facilities
There is a driving range (£3 for 40 balls), an Academy short course, a putting green and chipping green available to warm up and practice on.
Practice
There is no official practice day for this event, however those that may be staying overnight may find it best to practice in the afternoon of Saturday 27th July. Please note that times and prices are at the club’s discretion. Those that wish to have a practice round on any other day may do so at the discretion of Carmarthen GC. Practice Rounds are to be booked through the pro shop on 01267 281588. Please quote PING Junior Tour Final when booking.
Trolleys
There are 4 pull trolleys available for hire at £5 each and 2 electric trolleys at £12 each. Should you wish to hire a trolley, it is recommended that you pre-book through Carmarthen GC pro shop.
Please note that spectators are not allowed the use of buggies whilst at the event.
Catering
The kitchen will be open from 7am on the morning of 28th September.
Presentations
Presentations for each age group will take place once all players in that age group have completed their rounds. Golf clothing will be suitable attire for the presentations. Prizes will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd placed players in each category.
Presentations will take place in the seating area of the clubhouse.
Volunteers & Officials
There will be a number of volunteers and officials from Wales Golf and Carmarthen Golf Club present at the event.
They are here primarily for your safety and to ensure the smooth running of the competition. Please follow any instructions you are given by Wales Golf/ Carmarthen GC representatives whilst at the event.
Video & Photography
Video filming and photography may take place at the event on behalf of Wales Golf consistent with Wales Golf’s photography policy. There is provision for consent within the parental consent forms, however if you have any reservations please contact the Competitions Office. If any other person wishes to take photographs at the event (other than of their own child) they must obtain prior permission from Wales Golf.
Parental Consent Forms
Completed Parental Consent Forms and adherence to the Parental Code of Conduct are a requirement for this event. A link to an electronic Parental Consent Form is attached to the email accompanying this information, please complete this online prior to the event. Any player who has not returned a completed parental consent form to Wales Golf either before or at registration may be withdrawn from the event.

Safeguarding
The Wales Golf representative responsible for safeguarding at the event will be Rebecca Hawke, Competitions Coordinator.
Wales Golf, through its safeguarding policy and procedures, aims to provide a safe environment for children and young people participating in its Championships. However, parents and guardians of players under the age of 18 are reminded that they remain responsible for the safety and well-being of their child/ward whilst their child/ward is at the event (including the official practice day).
Liability
Competitors are reminded that neither Wales Golf nor Carmarthen Golf Club can be held responsible for the loss of equipment or personal possessions.
