THE BIG THREE 2025
Saturday, August 2nd, 2025 - 11 A.M. Tee Times (First 18) & 4 P.M. Tee Times (Final 9)
FORMAT: The "BIG THREE" is a two-player team event that plays 27 holes. The first 9 is better ball of partners, the second 9 is scramble, and the third 9 is alternate shot. A valid and active USGA Handicap is required to be eligible for handicapped events, without a USGA handicap you will play as scratch. The maximum course handicap for this event will be 30 - any higher handicaps will be reduced to 30. Handicapping for better ball will be 80% net, Scramble will be the USGA recommendation (50% of A Player and 25% of B Player), and handicapping for alternate shot will be the average of the two player's handicaps (for example a 6 and a 10 will have a handicap of 8).
RULES:
- All USGA Rules apply. All putts must be holed - no gimmies!
- Ball will be played down through green.
- Red stakes & lines indicated penalty areas. If no markings, consider the hazard indication line to be a club length from the edge.
- White stakes & roads indicate areas that are out of bounds.
- Bunkers will be player rake and replace.
- All mulched areas are also granted free relief.
- We will be adopting the USGA recommended local rule for Out of Bounds / Lost Balls. If a ball goes out of play, you may take a 2-stroke penalty drop on the edge of the fairway equidistant to the point where the ball went out of play. This is an alternative option to going back and replaying your shot with a penalty stroke (stroke & distance).
PAYOUT INFORMATION:
The Big Three will be a purely net competition this year. The top finishers of each individual 9 competition will receive payouts, and the top 30% of the overall will be paid out.
Skins will be team net skins, setup the same way handicap-wise as the main competition. The skins buy-in will be $15 per person, with $5 going to each format.
